Why Osimhen Must Improve On His Game -Cappello

Former Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello, believes Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has the capability to reach the highest point of his career if he maintains his scoring form with Napoli.

Capello stated this in an interview with TMW via CalcioNapoli24, few hours after the Nigerian international grabbed his fourth goal in the Serie A.

Recall that Napoli defeated Cagliari 2-1 to move top of the league.

The Nigerian international has scored six goals in his last four games for the Neapolitans.

He stated that Osimhen may become a great asset for Napoli due to his young age and determination to always want to make things happen.

“It will be difficult to beat. I saw an important conviction. They have always been among the first, the race is still long, and the direct clashes will be fundamental.”

“I had foreseen, however, that Napoli would be among the best. They have changed little and have quality. Plus Osimhen scores a lot, he has to improve because he is young, but in the future, it will be very important, he added.”

  • The legendary capello has added his voice to the rave of the moment….. Osimhen is still young and he has the capability to add one or two things to his game…….I want him to score 20+ goals this season in all competitions.

I’m convinced he will score more than 20 goals this season. Hell is not as hot as he is right now.

    Make una be calming down.
Spaletti has pointed out Osimhen’s weakness and hardly anyone is taking note.
Watching him in yards of space with just the goalkeeper, and in other occasions with two defenders, you just see a guy who lacks the confidence to waltz in, panics and just shoots from far.

This kind of play cannot get you results in the AFCON semis nor past the World Cup second round.

@DiMastta, Osimhen is doing well at the moment and don’t just rate him based on his few misses. Even the likes of Ronaldo and Messi miss scoring opportunities. He will learn from his mistakes and be calm in such situation the next time he get the chance. Also you have to give the guy credit because his overall performance always make up for his misses and he sometimes score goals most of the current world class strikers can’t score simply because of his pace, strength and ruggedity

Very soon we’ll see this glaring blip in Osimhen’s game that his coach, Spaletti has pointed out. Nations Cup is just months away.
When you have a structured defense up against the SE, when speed and space becomes irrelevant, then you’ll know why strikers like Iheanacho have a higher goals to games ratio in national set-up.

In other words, Ihaenacho is more reliable than Osimhen in the national team or what? I don’t want to believe you based your judgement on the last qualifier where he scored 2 goals. The Afcon you just mentioned. Do you realize Osimhen is the highest goal scorer as well as highest assist over the African continent ? Also are you telling me African teams and defences are that strong that Osimhen can get is way through and score ? Bros, it seem you’re really underrating this young man. Fine he need to improve in some areas which he will. The season just began and he has started well. I’m sure he will work on his flaws and by the time he get it right, am sure he will be at par with the likes of Mbappe
