Former England international Jamie Redknapp has called on the England FA to replace Gareth Southgate as manager of the Three Lions.
He made this call after the team’s elimination in the quarter final of the just concluded 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Recall that England were beaten 2-1 by France and there was call by some quarters that Southgate should be replaced.
However, Gareth Southgate has been confirmed for the Euro24 qualifying campaign after leading England to the World Cup quarterfinals.
But Redknapp says there’s several candidates who could match the work of Southgate.
“There is Graham Potter from Chelsea, and Eddie Howe from Newcastle, and Frank Lampard from Everton,” stated Redknapp.
“Any of these managers could achieve the same as Southgate.”Copyright © 2022 Completesports.com All rights reserved. The information contained in Completesports.com may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed without the prior written authority of Completesports.com.
