Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong was helpless as Udinese fell to a 4-1 away defeat to champions Juventus in their Italian Serie A clash at the Allianz Stadium on Friday night, reports Completesports.com.
Troost-Ekong was on for the entire duration of the game and put up a decent showing despite his side’s heavy defeat.
The centre-back has now played in all 26 Serie A games for Udinese following his summer arrival at the club.
Juventus manager Maximilliano Allegri rested some of his key stars including Cristiano Ronaldo, Mario Mandzukic, Giorgio Chiellini and Mattio de Sciglio ahead of next week’s crucial UEFA Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.
Italian youngster Moise Kean opened scoring for Juventus in the 11th minute as Juventus made their early dominance count in the game.
Kean proved his goal scoring prowess once again when he netted the second goal six minutes before the break.
Former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can doubled Juventus advantage from the spot in the 67th minute.
Blaise Matuidi got the fourth five minutes later after he was set up by Rodrigo Bentacur.
Kevin Lasagna reduced the deficit for the visitors six minutes later.
The Biaconneri also won the reverse fixture against Udinese 2-0.
