Rui – Wolves Squad Not Getting Carried Away

Rui Patricio says the Wolves squad aren’t getting carried away by their rise to seventh place in the Premier League. Rui The Portugal international has stressed the need for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men to continue to improve during the closing months of the campaign. “Our objective is always to try as hard as possible to reach a better position, and the higher up we can get in the league table, the better,” Rui told the club’s official website. “The team is doing well, we’re growing and focused on being higher up the league table. That is very difficult because the Premier League is a very competitive league, but we players always want to get better and grow. “That’s our objective and we think game by game. We want to win and do everything to be able to win – and then let’s see in what position we finish.

“But now the most important thing is to continue working as we have been doing, to keep growing, and then let’s see where we finish.”
The 30-year-old admits he is still adapting to life in the Premier League and has found it to be a worthwhile experience. “It’s been a very interesting first season and I’ve learnt lots of new things by playing in a totally different league, the Premier League, and it’s been a fantastic experience,” he added. “The football here is totally different to what I was used to and I’ve had to adapt to different situations, but it’s been fantastic because of this. “It’s been a time of very good professional growth and I’ve learnt lots of new things and, on a personal level, it’s been a fantastic experience to be in the Premier League environment. “I am growing as a player and that is also important because I’m going to keep working, as I want to grow and progress even more.”
