Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi has reacted to his team’s victory over Canada, Completesports.com reports.
The Atlas Lions thrashed the co-hosts 3-0 in Houston to earn a place in the quarter-finals of FIFA World Cup 2026.
Canada dominated the opening half, but second-half braces from Azzedine Ounahi and a late goal by Soufiane Rahimi powered Morocco to a convincing victory, securing the Atlas Lions a place in the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals for the second successive tournament.

Ouahbi Reflects On Difficult Win
Ouahbi said his team reacted well after a difficult first half.
“We are very happy. It’s a World Cup match and these are difficult games with teams playing for their lives,” Ouahbi told FIFA website.
“We reacted very well in the second half in the second balls and the duels. I have to recognise that Canada were impressive – they played a top match.
“It was no surprise for us but in the second half we were able to profit from the space they left us – that was the key.”
