FIFA has reportedly confirmed that it will present commemorative World Cup 2026 rings to the winners of Sunday’s final between Argentina and Spain, which will be attended by US President Donald Trump.
Winner’s rings are a long-standing tradition in American sports, with NFL Super Bowl champions famously receiving them.
According to the BBC, the world champions will receive 30 rings, while supporters will be able to purchase an additional 1,996 commemorative rings. Each ring will feature a miniature World Cup trophy and a special engraving on the band.

There is currently an air quality weather alert in New York due to wildfires in Canada, but there is no indication that the final at MetLife Stadium will be affected.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino had previously announced that Trump would attend the World Cup 2026 final, while White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has also confirmed his presence.
Trump–Infantino Relationship Remains a Talking Point
The relationship between Infantino and Trump has been one of the most controversial issues of this summer’s tournament, with the US president reportedly contacting the FIFA president to request a review of United States forward Folarin Balogun’s red card.
The subsequent decision to suspend Balogun’s automatic ban sparked widespread criticism and raised concerns about the integrity of the tournament.
Balogun was subsequently allowed to feature in the knockout match against Belgium, which the USA lost 4-1.

It is not unusual for heads of state from host nations to attend World Cup finals.
The tournament is being co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, with the final two matches taking place in the United States.
