You’ll Realise What You’ve Done For Napoli Fans In 10 Years Time —Balotelli Tells Osimhen

Former Italy striker Mario Balotelli has congratulated Victor Osimhen after Napoli were crowned Serie A champions on Thursday night.

Napoli were confirmed champions for the first time since 1990 after their 1-1 draw against Udinese.

Osimhen scored the crucial equaliser which was enough to secure Napoli’s third title in their history.

The Super Eagles striker took to his Instagram page to celebrate and was joined by Inter Milan’s 2010 treble winner Balotelli.

“Trust me, you did something incredible. You still don’t know what you did, trust me,” Balotelli told Osimhen.

“Now you’ve won, you will realize in years, not tomorrow, next year but in ten years you’ll understand what you did. It’s unbelievable, seriously.”

Osimhen replied: “It’s so amazing especially for the fans. I remember when I came here a lot of people sent me messages…I don’t know how to celebrate.”

Balotelli then told him: “ Don’t care how you feel, you are a champion, it’s okay.”

Meanwhile, Osimhen is now the highest scoring African in a single Serie A season, overtaking Samuel Eto’o by bagging his 22nd goal against Udinese.

Also, he equaled legendary Liberian great and current president George Weah on 46 goals in the Italian topflight.

CAF upto you to master the courage and honour this young man with the accolade he deserves. Nigerians will not take it lightly if you try your usual political malpractices of giving this recognition to one of your undeserving players. Osimhen achieved the impossible with a modest Napoli team that had tried with all its top players but to no avail, and just after they all left our Boy took up the mantle and delivered. Scoring the winning scudetto goal ends the debate btw Osi and Kvara of who’s the real deal. This is Osi’s moment not taking anything away from kvaradona but he just a season old and has another season to take the show most especially after Osi departs the capital this season. This is Osimhen’s moment!!!

I echoed your opinion bro…..He is sure the overwhelming favorite to be crowned the best Player in Africa. Salah and Mane are no where to be found and this is a testament to the fact that handwork pays and Osimhen is showing that

    Congratulations VO9!!!
Pls fight to get the Golden boot also.
His contenders for CAF best may be Mahrez, Partey & Havetz….

    Kudos bro!

Should Mahrez win the champions league with Manchester city,i’m afraid it’s game over for Osimhen..

      • What’s mahrez impact? Even if they win it, mahrez is warming the bench at city. He is no where near VO. Plus they not winning the UCL.

African best player loading ………….unrivaled best striker in Africa. Not even salah or manah are close to him this season ….congrats bro

  • This achievemt is too obvious to ignore, moreso that last year winner of African best players is not doing well this year. I just hope Caf will not come and use last year world
up achievement of Morocco to give this to akimi, because I know PSG too will win french league.

Guys please watch out for that fomular, Caf might want to say yes they both won league and then one reach semi final of world cup and he should be crown king of African players.

Mahrez had a fantastic season too and on the verge of a treble whereas Osimhen won just the league title.
To up his chances Osimhen should finish as topscorer in serie a and hope Manchester city don’t win the champions league.
