The former Santa Clara player was not named in the matchday squad for Sunday’s 1-1 away draw at Maritimo.
The arrival of Brazilian left-back Wendell means the defender is not guaranteed regular playing time at the club this season.
“Out of Sergio Conceição’s choice for the last round match against Marítimo, he (Sanusi) stayed on the bench. Zaidu will leave FC Porto in this summer transfer market,”Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr told Elegbete TV.
