Zidane Hints At Late Additions

Coach Zinedine Zidane says Real Madrid may make a late purchase before the transfer window shuts. While English top-flight clubs cannot bring in any new faces until January, their continental counterparts have until September 2 to finalise their squads for the first half of the campaign.

Much of the news involving Real has centred on Gareth Bale and Neymar but as yet, nothing has materialised.
The clock is ticking but Zidane has made it clear he has not closed the door on new additions. “Until Monday everything can happen,” he said. “One surprise, two surprises. But the important thing is tomorrow’s game.”

The Frenchman also responded to claims he had fallen out with club president Florentino Perez. “The relationship with the president has always been very good,” he added. “He is the one who brought me here to play and I will never forget that. “I do not have to clarify anything because the relationship is good. What you say outside the club I can’t control.”
