Emmanuel Ben has said that scoring a hat-trick to help Kiraa FA devour Adhoc FA 3-0 in Friday’s 1xCup 2026 qualifying round match at the Inspire Sports Ground has given him more confidence to do a lot for his team as the competition progresses.
With both teams representing the Ikorodu zone, Ben emerged as the man of the match following his hat-trick which helped Kiraa to defeat Adhoc effortlessly.
Kiraa shot into a 17th minute lead courtesy of Ben whose goal was assisted by Emmanuel Tomiwa.
In the 35th minute, Ben got his brace to increase his side’s lead to two but he was not done as he got his hat-trick in the 61st minute, with his third goal set up by Abang Isaiah, wrapping up a wonderful day for Kiraa as they zoomed into the group stage of the competition.
Speaking to Complete Sports after the game, the attacker revealed that his Player of the Match performance against Adhoc has given him a major confidence boost after helping Kiraa through to the next round.

“I am happy to have played like I did and also to score three goals in the game, it gives me a whole lot of confidence. I always want to do my best for the team, so I am very happy,” Ben said.
The striker added that he is already looking forward to the group stage of the competition as he and his teammates will work very hard to ensure that Kiraa go far in the competition.
“Our victory against Adhoc is already in the past and now, all that we are thinking about is the next game because we are prepared to give our best and work very hard to ensure that we go far in the competition,” Ben said.
On scoring more goals after already netting four times in the 1xCup 2026, the striker said he has a lot of confidence in himself to do that.
“I am ready to score more goals in the competition. As a striker, it is my job to score goals for the team and I will give everything to achieve that. Now, we will prepare for the next match, it is important to do that. My confidence is growing, and I just have to keep going like this,” Ben said.
