Nigeria’s D’Tigers suffered their second defeat at the 2019 FIBA Men’s World Cup in China going down to a 94-81 defeat to Argentina at the Wuhan Sports Centre on Monday morning (Nigerian time), reports Completesports.com.

Head coach of the side, Alex Nwora, named Benjamin Uzoh, Josh Okogie, Jordan Nwora, Al-Farouq Aminu and Ike Diogu in an unchanged line-up from the previous game squad that lost to Russia.

D’Tigers were down 28-17 at the end of the first quarter as they struggled to match the Argentines.

The game was tied 43-43 at half-time with Okogie, making a vital contribution with 10 points to his name.

The West Africans however slumbered in the third quarter as they trailed 72-61.

With less than six minutes to the conclusion of the game, Nigeria stayed behind 78-68.
