Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr says he does not want Nigeria to be in the same group with Egypt or Ivory Coast in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations draws.
Rohr stated this in an interview with ‘The Nation’, where he noted that none of the six seeded teams would wish to have either of both countries.
Recall that the draw for AFCON will take place today in Yaounde Conference Centre in Cameroon.
Nigeria is one of the six seeded teams, including hosts Cameroon, defending champions Algeria, Senegal, Tunisia and Morocco.
“I have had good conversations also with my colleagues,” Rohr said.

“Every one of the top 6 wants to avoid Egypt and Côte d’Ivoire.
“But we will accept and respect all the teams.”
The AFCON 2022 is expected to start on January 9 till February 6, with five host cities confirmed for the biennial competition.

Champions should not be afraid of playing any team…..We are champions and we are not afraid of any team….. Sometimes arrogance is good for confidence…..Oga Rhor please infect your players with confidence…..Make them fearless….. Other teams should be the ones worried about us….they should be the ones scared of us….they should be the ones avoiding us….. Confidence is key.
How can someone who talks like this be a champion?

Why Oga Rohr is very scared of any team?
He has been with Eagles for five good years if I’m not mistaken but why…….why….why he is not sure of his capability and in his team? Why?
France wasn’t the favorite before they winning the world cup in Russia but Croatia was. However, the French team believed they could shocked the world which they did and Croatia was no where to be found at the final of the tournament.
Confidence, professionalism, age and maturity of any coach is very vital to lead the team but when we have a country that preferred analog system to digital then it won’t be no room for transparency and dignity in that nation.
As said last week, for us to see and enjoy good football from Super Eagles again, Amaju and Oga Rohr have to vacate there positions.

See guys in as much i appreciate what coach Rohr has done with the super eagles but the truth is that i have carefully take a look at coach Rohr he cannot do more than what he as done because there are some things he has to change is his coaching philosophy e.g. how can a coach already mentioning the teams to avoid very wrong as a coach you build the confidence of your team and tactics.
Imagine the said teams to avoid by coach Rohr are the teams super eagles will face at the group stage meaning indirectly there is already fear factor ahead before the matches, instead of him properly his tactics i will tell him to stop playing players out of position and learn tactics from Gareth Southgate.
All you Rohr haters, Rohr will take Nigeria to the next world cup if Nigeria Qualifies, and then he goes or stay, haters get a grip.

Guys condemning the headline wouldn’t solve any problem, are we truly ready to face african top dogs if the answer yes then let’s continue to support the coaching crew and the players, but if we are not ready to face this top teams then we need to put more pressure on Rohr and his boys to work harder. We have the players to delivered the knockout blows to any teams in Africa I’m just a bit skeptical about the technical abilities of the coaching crew.
