2022 W/C Playoff: I Know My Starting X1 Vs Ghana- Eguavoen

2022 W/C Playoff: I Know My Starting X1 Vs Ghana- Eguavoen

Super Eagles interim technical adviser Augustine Eguavoen claimed he already knows his starting line-up for the crucial 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff against the Black Stars of Ghana, reports Completesports.com.

The two West African giants will clash in a two-legged playoffs later this month.

The overall winner will proceed to the World Cup in Qatar.

“We have the 11 that will start,” Eguavoen told Elegbete TV.

“We don’t need distractions, all we need is support to cross this hurdle.”

Eguavoen also defended the inclusion of midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo on his squad even though he has only returned from a long-term injury.

“Etebo I have worked with closely, Bonke I haven’t and I have had no chance to go to France to watch him play,” the former defendee explained.

“I have watched Etebo closely, I’ve watched him closely when he played in the U23s and when he played for the former coach Gernot Rohr in the Super Eagles.

“Etebo coming in now does not say he would be in the starting line-up.”

  • Good. That is the spirit.

We shall beat them home and away in Jesus Name.

    God bless Nigeria.

    • Selfmade KING 2 years ago

      Jesus isn’t a Nigerian lol!

This loud mouth coach is going to be silenced in ghana

He has talked a lot prior to this game but Ghanaians are quiet and the Ghanaian gaffer has kept his cards to himself which is dangerous for Nigeria

If Nigerians are expecting the Ghana that turned up at afcon they are in for a rude awakening!!

IF OSHIMEN even shows his TEETH IT WILL BE TACKLED on that day lol

So he better play for a WAR ….

Again osihmen has a GLASS EYE and he better protects it because we ll smash it on the turf again he wants to be tougher on that day haha

      • Nweke Uchenna 2 years ago

They are quiet because they don’t have anything to say, can’t even put together a team list, can’t even produce a good pitch for proper football game. Ghana is a shame to west African football but they will surely meet their Waterloo in the hand of the Eagles. There will be no escape route this time. God bless Nigeria.

  • Name doesn’t play football please sir get your tactics right we are good Gahanna is not an easy team

    • Selfmade 2 years ago

Eguavoen is one dimensional coach!! He always uses one tactics! Lol

U can’t teach an “ OLD DOG” a new trick lol

When the going gets tough in ghana, he ll instruct his players to find the wingers haha!!

The same man, the same tactics and the same team

He is going to congratulate Ghana like this

I’ve never seen an African team do that to Nigeria before,” sniffed shell-shocked Super Eagles manager Austin Eguavoen afterwards. “They stopped us playing from the rear and when we can’t do that we get flustered. I have to congratulate Ghana, they were tactically and technically very, very strong.”

      Lol

      • The reason he gave for the inclusion of Etebo sums him up. CLUELESS

      • Edoman 2 years ago

Ghana is scared to death. They are in trouble. The way they come here and Interjet into our forum says it all.

  • Coache 2 years ago

Please get hints from the COMOROS coach and the Morocan coach on how they defeated Ghana.

    • Selfmade 2 years ago

Eguavoen is ONE DIMENSIONAL coach with one dimensional tactics lol

Play from the rear, use the full backs to send balls to the wingers and score! Lol

All that Ghana has to do is to play a pressing game against the full backs, cause them to commit mistakes and the wingers ll become redundant! Lol

This is how the assistant coach of Tunisia beat him and this is how Ghana is going to beat him! Haha

When his team chokes, there’s no plan B haha

      • Papafem 2 years ago

I hope you’ll still have the strength to come and type your rubbish after the match on the 25th. Its evidently clear thst fear is eating you up. Reason you’re so obsessed with Eguaveon. You don’t even seem to know that the tech crew of Nigeria has been beefed up with the addition of Amuneke and your ENEMY NUMBER 1 may not be the only one taking decisions.

What you should be concerned with now is not Eguaveon but how to deal with Osimhen. He scored 2 today in serie A to highlight how Nigerian strikers have been so good this term in Europe. Don’t forget; not jusyt Osimhen, you still have Moses Simeon to contend with. Lookman, Ighalo and Chkwueze are coming too. I really pity your sorry ass. Continue dropping your jibby-jabber.

  • Selfmade 2 years ago

This one dimensional coach who was beaten by Tunisian assistant coach ll be ass wipe in ghana lol

The same man, the same tactics and the same team!

He plays from the rear, using the left and right full backs to supply the balls to the wingers, cut the full backs supply and his team falls flat lol

He used the same tactics against Ghana in 2007 got watched, used the same tactics in the recent afcon, got beaten by Tunisia and he ll use the same tactics against Ghana in cape coast haha

    He can’t change the fundamentals….

By the way he said this in 2007 after Ghana annihilate his team in griffins

I’ve never seen an African team do that to Nigeria before,” sniffed shell-shocked Super Eagles manager Austin Eguavoen afterwards. “They stopped us playing from the rear and when we can’t do that we get flustered. I have to congratulate Ghana, they were tactically and technically very, very strong.”

He is going to sing the same tunes again lol

Just make sure you know what you are doing enough not to play that DUMB ASS VISIONLESS, PURPOSELESS WING PLAY FOOTBALL come 25 and 29. Thanks!

    • Selfmade KING 2 years ago

He can’t change his tactics!! U can’t teach old dog a new tricks!! Is like that in football!! He has no other tactics than the one he was taught when he started coaching!!

Play from the rear, using the 2$3, find the wingers with the ball and they hopefully they can score period!! Nothing new here

He articulated his tactics clearly way back in 2007 against Ghana when he said this

“I’ve never seen an African team do that to Nigeria before,” sniffed shell-shocked Super Eagles manager Austin Eguavoen afterwards. “They stopped us playing from the rear and when we can’t do that we get flustered. I have to congratulate Ghana, they were tactically and technically very, very strong.” Haha

This means that when u stop him from playing from the rear, his team can’t play lol

He ll repeat the same tactics in ghana lol

    • Selfmade KING 2 years ago

He is one DIMENSIONAL COACH lol

      Wing play

      • Edoman 2 years ago

selfmade. Why don’t you just go away to your Country’s page to post your cabbage over there? Why do you become a nuisance in our reputable forum that cater for the Nigerian football fans? i can’t wait to see how the Super Eagle wallop Ghana in both Matches this month.

  • JimmyBall 2 years ago

Eguaveon… You don’t inspire much confidence, I am sorry to say.

  • Well, there is only one thing I know.

Ghana will fall both home and away.

    • Selfmade KING 2 years ago

I hope u bet ur house on this!! The name Ghana scare u to ur marrows

Ghana ll take Eguavoen to the HARD NUTS SCHOOL OF DERBY MATCH in cape coast!

We ll take ur coaching crew to the hard knock of DERBY SCHOOL in cape coast lol

If u think the Ghana u saw in afcon is the one u ll see, u dreaming bro

      Eat early bro lol

  • Pls get your tactics right sir, know the strength and weakness of your arsenal before and during match. Proper reading of match, analysis and proactive action is needed. All the best SE!

    • Selfmade KING 2 years ago

How can he do that when all that he gotta is one tactics lol

  • Bob Martins 2 years ago

It is now clear that Coach Eguavoen is responding to my earlier post and he is trying to alter the starting 11 list I elected for the double-header, ok, that is fine by me as I wouldn’t be causing any distractions. Any becos we’ve got only 12days onto the match, I hereby put out another list but this will exclude Etebo.

    Keeper.. Akpeyi

Defenders.. Balogun, Ekong, Sanusi and Aina

    Middle…Amoo, Aribo and Ndidi

    Forwards.. Osimhen, Odion and Simon

Eguavoen kindly let me have your thoughts on this at the earliest. Thanks.

    • Samni 2 years ago

Bob, yuu r on point excepting that I will prefer Austin Eguavoen plays Frank Onyenka to Ndidi.

    • Rasaq 2 years ago

12days???? @Bob Martins, the match is not far away any more. Whatever selection coach Egu is bringing on, the match in cape coast is as good as won. I would be suggesting he use our 2nd eleven so as to test them Osimhen for Qatar proper but who am I.

  • Ifela idu 2 years ago

Thanks Bob Martins the lads are good off their mark. Our only option is to support our SE to victory. Good luck coach!!!

  • This goes to show Eguavoen is laser-focused on the match ahead, even if it was rescheduled for tomorrow or moved to the field in front of the GFA or Osu Castle or even to @Selfmade idiot’s bedroom. Barring any injury or loss of form to any of the starting 11, SE is battle ready.

Caneroun made so much noise about besting until we permanently shut them up with a 4-0 demolition here while they barely escaped with a 1-1, even though they were then Afcon defending champions as at 2018.

What about SA? They almost burst our ear drums with taunting vuvuzelas online after a fluke and unprecedented 0-2 loss. Then the ref had to rescue them from their own disgrace in the return leg.

Now Ghana needs to be permanently humbled. I’m one million percent sure they’ll be disgraced at home. This 1960,1980 noise ends now!

  • Caleb 2 years ago

@Bob Martins, huh huh huh, who are you that a whole Nigerian national coach will be responding to? Are you serious? I accept the fact that the Super Eagles have always need our support and encouragement.

  • Ndubest 2 years ago

Your first 11 will be altered now that Ndidi is injured and out. I will suggest Bonke comes in as a natural defective midfielder capable of replacing Ndidi. We will eliminate Ghana.

  • Ketub 2 years ago

If you are looking out for a productive midfield, abeg abeg u coach, put Etebo for the starting line up. Tebo-tebo na horse any day.

  • Sportradio88.0 fm 2 years ago

The team list I saw on mama groundnut seller paper . Okoye ndidi omerue zadu bassey aina onyeka aribo oshimen Moses lookman
    Reserve and starter ighalo /Sadiq . Ekong/balogun. Ihaenacho/chukwueze…..ajayi/shehu.
How it got to her I don’t know .

    • @Sportradio88.0 fm for some reason I like the look of this list. It is really visonary and looks deadly enough…. It is formidable

      • I will have Samuel Chukwueze in there instead of Emmanuel Dennis. Dennis and Moses Simon can be introduced second half to finish the Loud and Noisy Ghanaian’s off.

  • Bobo Colorado Springs 2 years ago

Coach, you don’t even need our first 11 to execute this match, there is no quality in this division 2, 3 and 4 players playing for Ghana, i still believe any team presented will beat Ghana. They will come out gra gra gra on Nigeria and that will destroy them with freekicks, penalties, yellow cards and red cards. Presently, Nigeria got more quality and experience compare to Ghana ( no disrespect to Ghana) but that is the fact.

  • Ralph 2 years ago

Salvation of souls is what is important to Jesus so leave Jesus out of this, do your homework and you’ll win lol..And you guys , @ Selfmade and others, doesn’t matter if you guys are Ghanaian or Nigerian, you said Ghana will win and I said Nigeria we win, you said you have better players and I sad No my players are better, we argued and throw banters and come at the end of the month whoever wins have the last laugh, and another competition will come and we play again, this is how these things work. But you guys coming here and start swearing, abusing, calling people names just shows how backward you are, even if you are fool you don’t have to come on social media and show it to the world, if you guys can’t keep up with civilisation then stay in your holes, and have in it mind that there are some of us who came here to read football news, argue, throw banters and have fun and not interested in your derogatory and senseless talks. If you read someone else comment and you disagree then come up with your facts and spike the arguments, that’s what all of this is about, grow up already guys.

    • Selfmade KING 2 years ago

Bro I forgive u!! Maybe u haven’t been to a Ghanaian football site before! Pls do and see how Nigerians also insult us but all the same ONE LOVE

Who is forcing them to stay in such a pitching area? I trust the Eguavoen boys to defeat the Black Stars with no response.

      • Lenukwe 2 years ago

The SE of Nigeria is hurting Ghana football region already, they are yet to pick.

  • @Selfmade KING,
You keep criticizing Eguavoen as a one dimensional coach that uses only one tactic but you have been writing the same thing for the past few days now, How are you different from Eguavoen????

    • Selfmade KING 2 years ago

He is a one dimensional coach who has only one tactics and he is going to vindicate me comes the match day!! He used the same tactics against Ghana way back in 2006,2007 and surprisingly he used the same tactics against Tunisia in 2022 afcon wow

This coach is tactless and we ll expose him Ghana!!

If he changes his tactics against Ghana, then it means the super chickens ll be on the slaughtering table lol

  • Raphael 2 years ago

I’m now shying away from the truth is a ghanaian. But truth be told, SE is hurt ing.

  • Who dey ask him questions.?

Austin Eguaveon gave a lame excuse for inviting Etebo and leaving out Bonke… that he has worked with Etebo but has not worked with Bonke and he has not had the chance to go to France and watch him… Like a fool. Must you go to France to watch the player? What happens to Cable TV and online streaming sites? I have no confidence in the man at the helm of affairs after his series of unintelligent comments about players underservedly invited…

    • Edoman 2 years ago

@JimmyBall. You nailed it. Etebo is not only from Warri, but he attended Hussey College where Pinnick received his own secondary school education as well. He has since adopted him as a son and carried Etebo on his lap to all over the World. It doesn’t matter if Etebo is fit enough to play or not, as an adopted son, he must play, or the coach will see pepper.
