Ligue 1: Messi, Neymar Booed By PSG Fans In Home Game vs Bordeaux

The duo of Lionel Messi and Neymar were booed by Paris Saint-Germain fans, before and during their Ligue 1 home game against Bordeaux on Sunday as frustration grew at the under-performing superstars

But Kylian Mbappe, who could depart for Real Madrid next summer, was spared the wrath of the aggrieved fans.

The reaction from the fans is not unconnected to the manner of Wednesday’s Champions League exit time Real Madrid.

In Sunday’s league fixture against Bordeaux, Mauricio Pochettino named his all-star front three.

But Messi and Neymar, the two highest earners at the Parc des Princes, were on the end of the jeers – right from when the teams were announced on the stadium PA.

Both received the abuse with loud boos and whistles whenever they picked up the ball in the course of the game.

Neymar made a rare appearance on the weekend of his sister Rafaella Santos’ birthday – but it could be one of his last as reports suggest an exit could be on the cards with PSG ‘fed up’ with the £198m man.

Also, former Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum was targeted by the PSG supporters.
