And speaking after the Eagles first training session on Saturday since coming back from Ghana, Bassey expressed confidence of an outright win.

“Obviously, we will get the win.”

The young defender stated his delight making his debut for Nigeria and what the experience is like playing in Africa.

“It was an honour to represent this great nation.”

“Playing in Africa is a lot more physical, it’s just adjusting to the environment, the pitch, the weather, it’s harder to breath so it’s just adjusting to it.“

And on the kind of reception he got from the Super Eagles players:”The reception has been amazing. I’ve known some of the boys for quite a while and they are all welcoming. They are good bunch of boys with experience that we can learn from.”

Nothing will happen in Abuja . In Africa home advantage plays a big part in affecting the psychology of players. If super Eagles created the best chances in Kumasi, is it in Abuja they cannot create? In their home Ghana played more defensively and I expect them to do same in Abuja and attempt a few counter attacks. However , they plays Eagles will carry the day by 2;0

I am here to say shame to those who wrongly predicted the Ghana Naija match.Honestly, Nigeria is going to win that match on tuesday buy 1 goal and the scorer will be my man Victor Osimhen the scoring beast.we are very much aware that when Ghana play with Nigerian, all their veins and bones will come out.Anyway Super Eagles you are welcome to Qatar 2022.

This is Dennis’s game all day..
Let simon torment the other wing with trickery while Dennis go more direct on the other side with Osimhen in the middle.

Bench iheanacho and play an extra man in midfield
    Etebo Onyeka
    Aribo

    Let it rain ////////

  • Chukwueze shouldn’t start on Tuesday, dennis should take his place. The midfield should be made up of onyeka, aribo, etebo based on their performance in the first leg. Aribo should play behind osimhen not kelechi. Simon should start and lookman can come in later as he is still adjusting to African style of football. The same applies to bassey and zaidu.
But I subscribe to the idea of bringing in more midfielders after this game, players in the mould of nwobodo, alhassan, Raphael etc I think they will fit into the team very well if given the chance. Raphael with his imposing figure and long ball distribution, alhassan with his workaholic nature and good ball winning skills, nwobodo with his skilful ability. I can see all three of them starting a game if they are well integrated into the team. Their combination may be what the team needs.
