2022 WCQ: No Panic, Ighalo’s Goal Will Silence His Critics -Tijani, Shorunmu

Former Nigerian winger, Tijani Babaginda has revealed that Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo will deliver the goals that will help the team qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Ighalo last played for Nigeria at the 2019 Africa CUP of Nations, where he helped the team win bronze after defeating Tunisia 1-0 in the Third-Place match.

In a chat with Completesports.com, Tijani said that Ighalo’s experience and goals will play a crucial part in the team against Liberia and Cape Verde Respectively.

“I am confident that Odion Ighalo will play a big part in helping the Super Eagles qualify for the 2022 World Cup. Yes, a lot of people kicked against his invitation to the senior national team, however, it is important for us to know that Ighalo still plays regular football in the Saudi League.

“For me, Ighalo has a lot to prove and I am sure he will definitely silence his critics with his goals.

In the same vein, former Nigerian goalkeeper, Ike Shorunmu believes Ighalo has the potential to shoulder the Super Eagles goal scoring responsibility against Liberia and Cape Verde.

Shorunmu, who told Completesports.com that the coach wanted the best for the team, with the recall of Ighalo, said that his presence will influence the team positively.

“Ighalo’s arrival to the Super Eagles camp on Thursday will definitely excite Gernot Rohr and the players. His experience will go a long way in helping the team achieve their main purpose of qualifying for the World Cup.

“Like you know, Ighalo is a natural goal scorer and I am sure his goals won’t dry after joining the Super Eagles for a second time. “

Lolz. I am laughing so hard Ahahah ahhhh. Naija with patch and push system.

Most of us don’t get it. It is not about using Ighalo to win this Saturday kę.

We needed to have a team that we can rely on.

A team that fearless. A team that delighted to watch when ever our boys are in actions for our fatherland.

We don’t need a team that have no mission.

We don’t need a team that can not compete with the best teams.

We definitely don’t need a coach who have abundant talents in his disposal and he doesn’t know how to use the players.

We don’t need a team that is not confident enough to face a star studded team.

We don’t need a coach that keep saying my team is young every year.

We don’t need ex players that working with the NFF to mislead Nigerians.

We don’t want Amaju Pinnick in charge of our football no more. He, Amaju started well in the beginning and he destroyed his work by playing a politics game in the Super Eagles. These ex players are working for him and NFF.

however, it so embarrassing to see Oga Rohr still coaching the Super Eagles till today.

CSN is part of the Nigeria problem. Dessers scored four goals in a single match and you are not posting the news every minute but it is only Ighalo you can do that for.

I love Ighalo as a person too but in this situation, we don’t need his service if Oga Rohr really good to manage Super Eagles.

Ighalo should have given the younger players a room to work collectively but here we are with Amaju and Mr. Rohr.

Nigerians are so angry with Amaju Pinnick and Oga Rohr.

Nigerians are not smiling with them at all. Even, on Instagram, they are asking Amaju and our world class to go.

Nonetheless, it is almost guarantee that Amaju and Oga Rohr won’t be at the next Afcon in Cameroon to represent Nigeria with what I am seeing.

What kind of coach is that? You have Dessers, Awoniyi, Dennis and Nwkueme doing wonderfully well now but he opted for Ighalo that almost ready to retired from football?

What kind of country is this kę?
No wonder Mr. Buhari is our president.

No wonder Oga Rohr that those small African countries asked to go and now he’s managing a Nigerian national team.

What a show of shame is that kę. I am deeply disappointed in you Mr. Tijani Babangida and Ike Shorunmu. You people are feeling the heat already? Kai, you haven’t seen anything yet.

For you Oga Rohr followers, I guess you people have bn watching football for a while and is it the way out over the five years of Oga Rohr?

I won’t blame you people though. Majority of you people are government officials who have no choice to tell the government the truth.

Lastly, I just want to say a big thank you to we patriotic Nigerians. I am so proud of you all in this struggle with our beloved Super Eagles. NFF/Oga Rohr/his deciples are feeling the heat so far and they have no choice because we hire and we fire. We the core fans of the Eagles.

We have to double our efforts. What we are demanding is quite simple.

We don’t a coach that can take the Super Eagles to the promised land.

Please no abusive words. Let keep sending our messages to Amaju and Oga Rohr and their followers. We can react without using bad words. Super Eagles is not superb under Oga Rohr. This Super Eagles can do more than what they doing if NFF can hire a sound coach for them

Super Eagles doesn’t need a world class coach because our players are all professionals.

This is why I said we should go local. NFF should get Amunike, Egbo, Marnu Gerba and Enyeama involved.

If these men are in charge before the next Afcon, Nigeria have a chance to win the Afcon trophy in Cameroon but with Oga Salisu Yusuf, Agu and Oga Rohr? I don’t think so.

NFF should ask Oga Rohr to be scouting for Super Eagles. W3 have to move forward.

All the best to our Super Eagles. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

@omo9ja if you are sure you know what you are doing or saying choose your own 3 super eagles strikers let see or do you think bcos everyone is scoring they should invite all of them, if you talk about giving others chance this is not the time. The time to do that is after qualification when the team is preparing for competition proper. This not the time to experiment, this is the time you work with your main team in case you don’t know. He choose to invite Ighalo bcos he already knows his ability when it comes to SE.

Omo yi tun gbe wahala dey ooo.
So, we don’t need a world class coach because our players are all professionals, ehn?
Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Argentina, and other highly ranking football countries nko? Gbogbo won ni world class coaches ke. They are all managed by world class coaches.
Are our players “more professional” than their own?
Well, before we even start talking about world class coaches, let us clear the gbese (debt) that we have with Rohr first.
Person wey no get money to buy bend down boutique for Oshodi, e fit wear designer?
Rohr wey we no fit pay siddon gidigba dey wait for payment. I can assure you that no world class coach will work for free. Not gonna happen.
We have to keep managing Rohr until it’s time for him to leave, per his contract. Unless of course, you Omo9ja as a business tycoon, can come to Nigeria’s rescue by bankrolling our recruitment of a new world class gaffer!
If you decide to bail Nigeria out, please pay the new coach yourself. Don’t give your money to NFF, awon Onigbese osi!

You can comment without insulting anyone, just bcos you feel differently about something doesn’t make you right and makes everyone else wrong, it’s your opinion and it can’t be everyone else’s opinion

Ighalo already lighting up the camp with Goals. He scored two braces for his team in their practice match.

Some go jump up & down when our Ighalo scores his usual beautiful goal. Some go cry like say they lost their mamma. Choose which one you go be.
