2022 WCQ: Roma Starlet Afena-Gyan Accepts To Play For Black Stars

AS Roma young Ghanaian striker Felix Afena-Gyan has finally accepted to play for the Black Stars after he previously turned down two invitations, reports ghanasoccernet.com.

Afena-Gyan was called up twice during Milovan Rajevac’s reign but did not show up.

Rajevac, first invited him for World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa last November, and then the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.

Afena-Gyan claimed he was not ready for international football and wanted to focus on helping Roma.

That decision seems to have paid off as the youngster has gone on to earn more game time as part of the Giallorossi first team.

However, in a Twitter post, Afena-Gyan has now agreed to play for the four-time AFCON champions in the playoffs.

Afena-Gyan has 14 league appearances including four starts and two goals- all against Genoa last November when he came off the bench to bag a brace on his debut.

Ghana will host Nigeria in the first-leg at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, March 25 2022 before traveling to Abuja for the second leg on 29 March.

I feel sorry for Nigeria because this guy is quality.
Prepare to lose Nigeria because here comes trouble.

      @ Sammy:

Am afraid to burst your bubble. He wouldn’t make a standby lists of the Super Eagles. If you’re in doubt, checkout the quality of our standby lists.

U ll eat a humble big EBA comes the Friday

        • @SELFMADE IDIOT.

          1. “DO NOT ANSWER a FOOL so you don’t so you don’t be like him yourself”

          2. “ANSWER a FOOL lest he be wise in his own eyes.”

Now, it seems you’re getting bolder and assuming to be wise. This is your team in camp below.

Jojo Wollacot, Thomas Partey, Christopher Antwi-Adjei, Dennis Korsah, Edmund Addo, Andy Yiadom, Joseph Aidoo, Gideon Mensah, Yaw Yeboah, Alexander Djiku, Majeed Waris, Felix Afena-Gyan, Joseph Paintsil, Danlad Ibrahim, Fatawu Issahaku and Dauda Mohammed.

Afeyna-Gyan and Wajid Maris are your guys upfront. No Jordan for the furst leg.

Now show me the superstar up there and stop pouring saliva everywhere and constituting a nuisance with empty chest beating.

If this was a studio, I would have landed you a brain-resetting slap that would have made you deaf and dumb. Your tongue would only be loosed on the morning of 26th after your eyes would have been clear.

I know you’re scared of me by the way.

Pure truth bro he will only play under21 for Nigeria. After his brace what else?

        • Not even a single goal after his brace, while our Amoo just scored in his last game. I wonder why Ghana are begging players without daul nationality to play for them it’s puzzling how you are begging a guy who has no other option to play for another country, to play for you guys so he isn’t patriotic. When other countries players will be dying to get a call up you guys are begging your plays to play for you, even Salisu has changed his mind and he doesn’t want to play for Ghana. Once again Ghana go collect. The fury if losing that Tunisia game will still be in them, and am sure Maduka okoye won’t concede a goal, since he hasn’t conceded in this month making whopping 15 saves in just three games for a relegation threatened side and had clean sheets in all.

    • Which lose, ode is he better than osimhen? Even osimhen is better than Tammy, and this guy is Tammy apprentice lol, Ghana go collect. At home and away, Ghana do not have squad might only Partey is recongised olayer. But for real Ghana center backs are quite better compared to Nigeria’s center back but Nigeria and Ghana are aren’t on thesame level. If @selfmaid are being realistic Nigeria are on thesame level they just want to enjoy the moment because after Ghana gets bruised they won’t be able to talk again, and I seriously think @Monkey post has an issue with the super eagles after rhor left he has been supporting the opposition, eve if we are playing against Kosovo one of the worst teams in the world he will still predict that they will beat Nigeria. This hatred for your father land because of a foreigner seems naive to me
