‘It’s Really Big For Me’ –Amoo Speaks On Super Eagles Invitation For Ghana Games

Akinkunmi Amoo says he is delighted to be named in Nigeria’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs against the Black Stars of Ghana, Completesports.com reports.

The 19-year-old was a surprise inclusion in the star-studded squad by Super Eagles interim technical adviser Augustine Eguavoen.

It’s the first time the FC Copenhagen star has been selected at the senior level after previously representing Nigeria at the U-17 level.

“It’s really big for me to be with the national team for the first time. I’ll fly away tomorrow and it’s going to be really exciting for me,”Amoo told his club’s official website.

“It’s some incredibly important matches for the national team that are fighting to get to the World Cup finals, and I’m happy to be selected, “he concluded.

The youngster scored the winning goal on his debut for Copenhagen against FC Nordsjælland on Sunday.

The winger was delighted with his performance and outcome of the game.

“I’m so happy to score my first goal today! It means a lot to me and my family. It was great to be the match winner and secure the victory, even though we should have scored more goals in the match. It took hard work to get them three points, but that’s how it should be, “said Akinkunmi.

“It’s great to be able to help the team and at the same time make sure the fans go home happy. It was an important victory and we have full focus on the championship.”

This youngman should watch what he is eating… He looks rounded and too stocky. He could do with shedding a few pounds… Anyway… Make it count boy!

    19, really?

It’s like some of us were never 19 and don’t know what 19 is, feels and looks like.

Another Phillip Osondu. Growing laterally, aging vertically.

What do you mean?He looks like a teenager besides he was part of the under17 that did the mandatory MRI tests and he pulled through.
For his size I can’t say anything about it because some people do have medical conditions that could make them look like that regardless what they eat.
A sportsman who goes to the gym regularly should shade some weight but it doesn’t look like that with this young bloke.Probably could be hereditary or medical conditions.
Well shouldn’t lose sleep over it the young fella isn’t complaining neither is his football.

Well, this is a classic case of DON’T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT’S COVER.
He may look a bit on the chunky side, but if you make the mistake of entering into the pitch to play against him, you go smell Cameroon pepper.

This chubby can’t get pass our defenders. He looks like Aki & Porpor. He should join Nollywood.

Amoo, can you hear what Ghana fans are saying about you? They say you look like Aki and Pawpaw. They say you are too chubby to dribble past their defenders.
    It’s alright. No problem.
If you are selected to start the game, you have to teach them a lesson they will never forget.
Show them why Ibrahimovic is a big fan of you.

He reminds me of Etim Essin. I’m sure he’ll shed some weight since he’s still only 19. He could still play in the next U20 and U23 teams for Nigeria. This will be a valuable experience for him to rob shoulders with the main SuperEagles team.

Akin Amoo is a short boy. He is 4ft 6ins tall. Akin is very fast and a
perfect dribblier while on the run. Hard to mark because he is very close to ground gravity which makes him dangerous if you try to pull him down. He is better than Messy on his current form. Akin Amoo is a rear gift not only to Nigeria but, to Africa as a whole. He is 19. In Edo language, we normally call boys like this-Akpo. Up Nigeria.

  • Ghana go cry on Friday . 4 goal to nothing in favor of super eagles. At last they will replace their coach again.
