Watford have congratulated their Nigerian stars William Troost-Ekong and Maduka Okoye over the Super Eagles’ qualification into the play-off round of the 2022 World Cup qualifier.
Both Troost-Ekong and Okoye were in action as the Eagles progressed into the final phase of the qualifiers after a hardfought 1-1 draw against Cape Verde.
Napoli star Victor Osimhen opened scoring in the first minute before Stopira equalised for the visitors.

The result saw the Eagles finish top in Group C with 13 points while Cape Verde had 11 points.
Commenting on the qualification, Watford wrote on their Twitter handle:”Nigeria are through to the 2022 World Cup play-offs
“Congratulations to @WTroostEkong and to future Hornet @OkoyeMaduka!”
The Eagles will know their play-off opponent on December 18 with the fixtures scheduled for March 2022.
