Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem has revealed his plans for Saturday’s 2022 World Cup qualifier against Liberia in Tangier, Morocco.

The Eagles will hope to maintain leadership in Group C when they take on the Lone Star, in the fifth round of games in the qualifiers.

And Awaziem, who is one of the players invited for the crucial tie, disclosed how he intend to help the Eagles secure a win.

I think everyone is motivated, everyone is ready for the game,” he said on NFF’s TV.

“We are focus on the game and hope we come up with a positive result. We are working so hard to get the three points and qualify.

“As a defender you always want to get a clean sheet. I hope we work together as a team and I will try to get a clean sheet if I get to start. Also, I’m going to give my best to help us get goals.”

Victory for the Eagles and Cape Verde’s failure to beat Central African Republic, will see the three-time African champions qualify for the play-off.

This is one my best players in the super eagles,it still baffles me why he is not starting games cause he is clearly better than most starters in the team

Yes better than Balogun but not sure who is better between him and Ekong. He deserve to be in in Eagles first 11 going by the squad we have. SE don’t have good central defenders and i don’t think the Coach is aware about this cuz he himself is a mediocre. A day is coming where the Oyinbo wall will be well disgraced

      • Nawa o! So, that’s the day u are waiting for right?
Keep on waiting brother and mind you..in super eagles color, Balogun is the Best we have.

That sluggish defender wey any fit striker can bully anyhow. E for good if he dey stay hin back jejely than the embarrassment he used to cause for himself by trying to carry the ball forward to attack. U no dey see how e dey fall like mango tree in the end or easily get dispossesed as he no go quickly release ball to midfielder to continue the attack. He think say naso Ramos dey do am. Other than his Aerial presence the dude is below an average defender as far as am concerned. Him and Ekong i don’t know who make wrong and opponent pass most. Yobo no do reach dis level b4 Nigerian label him calamity. You go see dem today just dey watch
