2022 W’Cup Playoff: ‘Any Team Can Win’ –Gyan Gives Verdict Ahead Ghana Vs Nigeria

Former Ghana striker, Asamoah Gyan, has revealed that it will be too difficult to predict the winner between the Black Stars and the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff.

Nigeria and Ghana will face off in a two-legged 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier in March.

Both West African giants crashed out of the just-concluded 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Cameroon.

The fixture is expected to be the most keenly contested of the five fixtures billed to produce Africa’s five representatives at the World Cup finals.

However, Gyan explained the tie is difficult to predict, because of the long-standing rivalry between the two West African countries.

“Ghana and Nigeria are rivals, you cannot predict,” he told TV3.

“Anybody can win, so we just have to stay focused and do what they have to do on the field.”

Wise and humble opinion …very factual. I’d advise the SE to approach the matches with such humility, but with the added determination to emerge victoriously unscathed.

  • The se should just win and maduka okoye should change that gloves of his Nike Mercurial elite glove isn’t reliable if he will stick with Nike he should use Nike vapor grip 3.
This is even one of the reasons we lost the Tunisia match that glove it’s too thin. I even made a research his is the only keeper I have seen using the Nike Mercurial elite glove presently. Look into it ( the type of gloves a goalkeeper uses determine so many things

    • I prefer Uzoho to be in post for Nigeria.

I have confidence in him than Okoye. Okoye shine only when defenders are defending well.

Guys, Okoye is still our best GK at the moment. Uzoho is not that reliable either. Did you guys forget about Rojo’s goal for Argentina at WC 2018, go watch that goal again and compare with Msakni’s goal at AFCON ’22. Against Sudan Uzoho parried a ball directly into the path of Sudan attacker but for a timely intervention of Ajayi.

There is a reason why Okoye is getting regular game time in Netherlands while Uzoho is only playing bit-part role in Cyprus. I wish we can get to see Adeleye in one of the friendlies after we might have qualified for Qatar

Abeg just forget about okoye matter, uzoho will keep ,if we must be in Qatar.

People wey sell Okoye for us on this forum go vex with you o… @Godsate and @Michel. If them use that guy against Ghana for CAPE COAST, the kind tension wey go hold Nigerians when balls the balls the near our 18yard box na only God go fit help. I think it’s time to revert back to Uzoho until Okoye will become really decent and confident in his goalkeeping.

By the by Iwobi is currently playing against Southampton. After the game, CSN will splash a headline across their home page reading ‘Iwobi Shines Against Southampton’. After that, some of his rotten teeth fans will come out to jubilate. Lolzzzz. Iwobi still has a lot to prove, full stop.

God will punish, to no end, for anyone to put BASKET on the goal against Ghana.

High alert for Nigeria! No referees must come from those countries, namely Central African Republic and Cape Verde who said Nigeria will never qualify for the FIFA World Cup.

Am so confident with Maduka Okoye. He’s our best: all of you coaches that chased Rohr away want to chase Maduka as well, also plié pressure on Iwobi. No way. Let the coach do his job. Maduka is our best goalie.
