2022 W’Cup Playoff: It’s A Waste Of Time For Black Stars To Play Super Eagles –Ghana Parliament

2022 W’Cup Playoff: It’s A Waste Of Time For Black Stars To Play Super Eagles –Ghana Parliament

A member of the Ghanaian parliament, Patrick Boamah, has advised the Black Stars of Ghana to forfeit their 2022 World Cup qualifying playoff against the Super Eagles.

This is coming after Ghana’s poor performance at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, where the team crashed out from the group stages without winning a single game.

According to the lawmaker, he doesn’t want the country to waste their time playing Nigeria, who, according to him, is a far better team than the Black Stars.

“If need be, we should dissolve our national team and prepare a team over the next five years,” Boamah said on the floor of parliament, according to Citi Sports.

“We should not waste our time playing Nigeria in the next World Cup qualifier.

“Look at the team Nigeria has, even though they are out of the tournament, I don’t think with this current set-up, we can stand the Nigerians.”

Ghana has a date with Nigeria in March in a two-legged playoff that would determine who makes it to the Qatar 2022 showpiece.

Even a member of Ghana Parliament respect the Super Eagles team the Rohr developed. Rohr haters, how does being put to shame make you feel?

    • Don’t be naughty. You didn’t have to bring Rohr into this.

We saw what Rohr’s team played. The team was in shambles… Very dull and without any colour.

The spark we’ve seen so far started with Eguavoen. Full stop. You can praise Rohr for inviting many of the players. But the cohesion is not Rohr’s work. The massive transformation we see in how the team plays is simply Eguavoen’s labor.

It’s dubious to attribute the praise to Rohr. It’s dishonest and, in fact, silly to do so.

      • Dr Banks 2 years ago

The spark and cohesion that’s only good enough for a Round of 16 exit from AFCON. You guys are shameless

      • Omo9ja 2 years ago

@DannySE, we need to educate Oga Rohr followers more on this issue and by doing so, they will know right from left. God bless you for doing this analysis for this person.

Oga Rohr fans should go back and watch Nigeria vs Tunisia match.

Tunisia caged Simon and Chukwueze in the first half and Mr. No nonsense introduced Iwobi in the second half. That should tell Oga Rohr followers that the gaffer tried in that match to change his tactics but unfortunately Iwobi got a red card.

Apart from that, Eagles still created few chances but our strikers wasted it all.

The only mistake coach Eguavoen made was Dessers period. God bless Nigeria!!!

    • Nigerians are easily fooled . Another tortoise brain is brewing up from higher quarters . Can Nigeria beat morroco . Can dey beat Comoros easily …. .. Tunisia already dealt with Nigeria using covid . .. Madagascar vs Nigeria is a good lesson. If Comoros play defensive against Nigeria all our boys wil be tired be4 70 minutes. If Ghana Lock their defense against eagles . eagles strikers will not be seen in the box 18. Let along take a short at goal .this eagles that don’t have tortoise brain na only to dey run for field dey know. Ordinary to create chance outside the box of the opponent dey don’t know .

      • You fit play ball you that hav tortoise head football not easy okay

      • Olusegun.B. 2 years ago

We all know Tunisia l8ed long before they mentioned COVID . It’s the Arab way of thinking they’ve deceived their opponents.Inspite what that politician is saying the national team will continue to prepare . What happened at te afcon shows that there’s still work to be done with the team. They need to prepare mentally and tactically . Ghana is full of pride for they once said earlier that they’ll rather lose to Comoros that to the super Eagles in which to the Super Eagles it is a must they win this play off. Oshimen , and his team knows that not going to that world cup won’t be ideal for their careers esp for oshimen who couldn’t make it the afcon . The team better be ready to do what’s necessary to qualify. .

I tell you my brother @SD Special Delivery Jones. Kudos to GENERAL ROHR for setting up a team that every other team is scared of facing.

Mind game playing out here from their parliamentarian.

    • I’m with you on this. One of our weaknesses as Nigerians is falling for cheap flattery… They know this

      • KangA 2 years ago

These Ghanaians are dangerous. I see the handiwork of GFA here. They want the SE to take their legs off the pedal. I hope NFF and other intelligent Nigerians don’t fall for these childish antics as many Rohr soldiers have done . . . cheap flattery indeed.

        • Greenturf 2 years ago

The super eagles players are professionals they don’t need to be advised regardless of words coming from the Ghanaian camp.
The approach should be the same.

  • Chibuike 2 years ago

He want use conny word decieve Nigeria, even home base Ghana national team no dey take eye see Nigeria. I dey fear Ghana team pass any national team in Africa

  • Ralph 2 years ago

I dont see any developed team here, we have the player and materials YES but a team BIG NO

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

Yes it’s a mind game and there is this intense rivalry with both country but it doesn’t still take away the fact that currently our squad is far better than that of Ghana.

  • Ndubest 2 years ago

Pls go and sit down who are you deceiving. You want us to relax just as they did in nations cup people has already given them cup after first round of matches. We will be ready for Ghana come march 2022.

    • John-I 2 years ago

You get sense well-well. Anyone who thinks Ghana don’t want to beat us silly is just being deliberately deluded. These are mind games

  • Sunnyb 2 years ago

See Yeye games these Ghanaians are playing, never trust them. Ghana would do anything to destroy Nigeria, the hatred, envy are just too much. Nigeria should watch out, the NFF should monitor the match officials closely because Ghana will try to bribe them.

  • Omesiete (IBB) 2 years ago

Hahahahah….. Olu you no go kill person oo. I no no say you too dey suffer the heartbreak wey this Eagles give me. If i had known would have supported the weaker Eagles instead of the so called Super Eagles. Super my foot…..

  • Suleiman Shehu 2 years ago

That was the way the Super Eagles were defeated in Afcon2021. First there was that best first round finishing award. Then there was the Tunisian C19 hoax.
The Ghanians also wish to fool the Super Eagles

  • Bobo Colorado Springs 2 years ago

There is no mind game on this, presently the Ghanian team is below par and disorganized. The man is saying the truth, plain truth, there no way they can beat Nigeria from the way they are playing at the moment. The Ghanians don’t play mind games against Nigeria, never, instead they boast about beating us; what i know is that , the Ghanians always raise their game/play against Nigeria, but the way things are going presently, is going to be difficult for them against Nigeria. The man is being honest, and not a mind game.

    • Greenturf 2 years ago

You are right @Bobo Colorado. He is being honest, and with the chaos in the black stars team and recent unimpressive performances one would be forced to think that way.
Most of their star players have boycotted the team.In attack they have the Ayew brothers who have been unproductive.Andre the better of the two brothers and captain is out of the playoffs due to a sending off at the Afcon.Nigerian Iwobi will follow in similar fashion.
But the Ghanaian team I know will put up a fight, they will give their all in the context,it all depends on Nigeria. If we get our selection and tactics right and all important players available, there are a good chance of Nigeria edging Ghana.

  • Akhigbe 2 years ago

The players are Nigerians not given birth by Rorh…… We lost the last match but Rorh would not have done better.
Let Rorh go to another country to perform the wonders he failed to do in Nigeria.
Overtime the decision to sack Rorh will be appreciated.

  • Olowojaiye Samuel 2 years ago

Sacking Rohr was the best thing NFF did for Nigerians..Eguavoen and Amuneke combo will kill Ghana, and do better in Qatar.
