    WHYYYYY
*** NIGERIANS WHERE ARE WE GOING TO IN THIS COUNTRY***
UPON MULITI-BILLION NAIRA WASTED ON THE STADIUM FOR RENOVATION, YOU CAN IMAGINE THAT THE FACILITIES CANNOT LAST LONGER TO THE EXTENT THAT CAF CANNOT APPROVE THE STADIUM TO HOST COMMON ORDINARY AFCON QUALIFIER.
    WHAT A SHAME !!!
    *** ???? A BIG QUESTION???? **”
HOW MANY MATCHES HAS BEEN PLAYED IN THE STADIUM SINCE IT WAS BEEN RENOVATED?
We will continue to be deceiving ourselves into this country till thunder will strike out BAD LEADERS in this country.

  • Minister of Sports could offer explanations as to what happened to millions of dollars Dangote threw into renovating the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja

  • chuks haifa 11 months ago

Why did Dangote give money to ministry to do work for him. Something he would have contacted the competent renovating company directly and paid them directly. How do you expect goverment rats and thieves to do a good job.

Its a blessing in Disguise . Abuja stadium through Nigeria out of the world cup. Its a bad luck .

Time and again, it has taken CAF to tell our low IQ-ed football administrators, that the only playable surface in Nigeria that meets the barest of international standards, for international soccer is the Uyo stadium.

  • Some part of naija fans have known this for years. Rohr once mentioned it but it’s like Akwa government no wan pay..Lol!

  • Does it not surprise you that what your 5 year old son will observe about the Abuja playing turf even from watching it from TV, so called football administrators/Nigerian leaders, will sleep on it, live their entire life on it but still won’t see it. BLIND BUNCH OF NEVER DO WELL WHOSE DAYS OF SORROWS IS DRAWING EVER SO CLOSE. IN THIS LIFE EVERYTHING IS TEMPORARY. JERRY RAWLINGS DID SOMETHING, SAME THING I SEE HAPPENING SOON IN NIGERIA, AT THE CLIMAX OF ALL THESE EVIL DEEDS FROM YOU LOTS POLITICIAN THIEVES. YOU GUYS WONT EVER SEE IT COMING FOR IT WILL COME FROM WOTHIN.

Was this not the same stadium that rohr always voiced out his concerns about (even though billions were spent by dangote to refurbish it) but his concerns were shoved in the bin and abuja was forced down his throat hook, line and sinker. Now, it has taken caf to tell us the truth and and direct us on the right thing that ought to be done. Rohr was called all sorts of names when he voiced his concerns but now, the truth is beginning to trickle in. I wonder what dare, picnic and ode (the ex cricket international) would have to say about this development. I hope the sports minister would not tell caf to ‘shut Up ‘ or ‘off their mic’ as was his remarks whenever rohr told them what they never wanted to hear. Shame on nff, shame on the sports ministry and shame on Nigeria. Truly, Nigeria is actually a zoo. Thieves!

    • @Oakfield must you people always bring everything to Rohr haba.. was it not this same Uyo Stadium Keshi Played alot of Games in the Qualifiers to 2015 or 2016 AFCON which we did not Qualify for??.. guy we have been using Uyo Before Rohr came unboard. rst with this rohr Matter biko!!!!

Thank you o CAF…. Mumu NFF cannot do anything good

  • Edoman 11 months ago

Our son, the late Steve Keshi refused to play his game in Abuja, the reason why he was sacked after he won the AFCON Cup in South Africa. They swing Dangote of his millions of US dollars and then they gave Nigeria the worse stadium good enough for political and religion jamborees and called it Abiola stadium to pacify people like Odagbemi and his cohorts. Based on simple statistics, Nigeria would have played in the last World Cup had we played Ghana at Uyo.
