Super Eagles assistant coach, Finidi George has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the team in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Recall that the three-time AFCON champions began their campaign with a 2-1 win over Sierra Leone before thrashing Sao Tome 10-0 in Morocco.
Osimhen put Nigeria on its way against Sao Tome and Principe with the opener in the ninth minute and scored his fourth in the 84th minute to make it 9-0. Emmanuel Dennis netted a penalty in injury time for Nigeria’s 10th. Terem Moffi scored twice and Moses Simon, Oghenekaro Etebo and Ademola Lookman were the other goal-scorers.

In a post on his official Facebook handle, the former Ajax star stated that he prays for better days ahead with the team.
“What a great opportunity and great start for the new Super Eagles. I pray for better days ahead on my new appointment as assistant coach,” Finidi wrote on his Facebook page.
The Super Eagles will return to action with a double-header against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau in September.

The traits of new coach and new Super Eagles are so incredible which returned the old memories of SE in 1990 to 1994 which called golden generation of Nigeria football; these traits arose on wing crosses playing , fliud and creativity in midfield especially by Etebo and Iwobi, solid defence by Bassey and Ajayi, proper finishing especially Osimhen, proper wing-back playing especially Zaidu Sanusi; so all these traits coach Peseiro will play with them then he will improve on them and improve of defensive midfield in the next matches.
May God bless whoever removed Salisu as first assistant coach. Good riddance.
Paseiro also speaks Spanish which Finito understands very well. Your man only Sabi English and Hausa. So no hard feeling
