‘They Are The Future Of Nigerian Football’ — Peseiro Hails Golden Eaglets, Flamingos

Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has hailed the Golden Eaglets and Flamingos after both teams secured qualification to the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations and the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The Golden Eaglets booked a place at the U-17 AFCON after beating Cote d’Ivoire in their semi-final clash at the Cape Coast Stadium on Tuesday.

Nduka Ugbade’s boys will face Burkina Faso in the final on Friday.

The Flamingos will also compete at the World Cup in India next year after a 1-0 aggregate win against Ethiopia last month.

“Congratulations to both the Nigerian U17 women’s and men’s teams for qualifying to World Cup and AFCON, respectively,”Peseiro wrote on his Twitter handle.

“They are the future of Nigerian football and deserve our full support! 👏👏👏 🇳🇬.”

Where is self made king and his black shirt stars brothers? They are hiding. I told them. Right in your backyard. Yet you baby black shirt stars failed your nation. Tears all over in Accra

We aren’t hiding anywhere!! We are here!!

Besides Ghana has already won the fifa under 17 twice

Ghana is the only AFRICA nation to have won the fifa under 20

We don’t want these cups again lol

We are going for the the real one which is the fifa senior worlcup!!

      • We will support you, black stars, our African brothers all the way but please stop this your hatred for your senior brother, the super eagles of Nigeria. The only African team to be ranked no5 in the world by FIFA. Ghana is still way behind Nigeria in football…remember Ghana never defeated Nigeria in Abuja, you only won on away goals rules no thanks to our ineffective Eguavoen, who despite no coaching certificate, was saddled with the responsibility of coaching our flagship team, the Super Eagles.
Hope NFF and the incoming administrator would have learnt their lessons so you don’t give people like Self-Made King who have no respect for their senior brother, the Super Eagles of Nigeria the mouth to insult us.

        • Big brother my a**. Why is Ghana behind Nigeria? How many afcon titles do you have? What’s your best performance at the World Cup? What is the head-to-head between the two countries? You only pride yourselves with winning under aged tournaments with over aged players. Abeg make I pass

Peseiro looking at a bunch of players. Nice one. He should also look at that boy Ishaq Abdulrazak.
Perhaps also tap up Michael Olise, who has reportedly ruled out Algeria, and is looking to decide between France and Nigeria. Akpoguma has also expressed his willingness to continue his international adventure with Nigeria, but is asking Peseiro for guaranteed playing time. That might be a problem, as I don’t see Peseiro giving him or anyone else any such guarantees.
