/Paul Onuachu bagged a brace as KRC Genk went down to a 3-2 away defeat against Royal Antwerp in their Belgian Pro League clash at the Bosuilstadion on Saturday night, Completesports.com reports.
Onuachu opened scoring for Genk in the 22nd minute and later doubled the advantage from the spot four minutes after the hour mark.

The Nigeria international has now scored 31 goals and provided two assists in 35 games across all competitions for Genk this season.
The 28-year-old was replaced by his international teammate Cyril Dessers in the 67th minute.
Antwerp rallied back to win the game through goals from Didier Lamkel, Dieumerci Mbokani and Dylan Batubinsika.

Onuachu could have scored more had the coach leave him on for the duration of the game.
He kept losing 20ish minutes to Dessers who doesn’t score in the minutes he was on the pitch all the times he was subbed on.

With Genk 2-0 up against Antwerp… thanks to goals from Onuachu, the coach thought he was home and dry and hurled the poacher off… 3 minutes late Antwerp pulled a goal back and went on to win 3-2. Well… Onuachu has left his mark already and it is his shadow in Genk now… The shape of his imminent transfer will be in the open soon. I am sure a deal in a preferred place is already wrapped up. He is replicated his exploits in Denmark where he was king all the seasons he played for FC Midtjylland…

The goals are really piling up. He has reached the goals target I set for him, and it looks like he will exceed it. Congratulations to paul onuachu. Hope he gets a good deal and moves to a bigger league. But he must chose carefully and go to a club where his style of play will be greatly exploited.
I want to see who they will give player of the year award to in Belgium. If its not Paul onuachu for this season then we will know that the league is biased!

This guy is our number one striker. Rohr had better learned from this experience. Never under rate Onuachu’s ability until the games are over. He can score the very moment the Game begins and he can score the last few second before the Game is over. No Nigerian alive does it better than Onuachu at the moment.

As per Onu-Goal, as long as the crosses keep coming into the box, the net will keep shaking. But if you ask him to play with his back to goal, or expect him to help with build-up play, it would be like trying to carry a horse on a motorcycle.
As long as we play to Onuachu’s strengths, and give him what he likes, as they do at Genk, Onuachu will keep scoring for us.
Onuachu is a great addition to the SE. Against teams that are poorly organized defensively, defend set pieces or crosses poorly, or with short center backs, Onuachu will be their tormentor in chief. But against teams that require a mobile striker who can play with his back to goal, we can utilize other strikers who can get the job done.
