Wilfred Ndidi is confident Leicester City can win the Europa Conference League title this season.
The Foxes will take on Danish side Randers FC in a last-32 tie at the King Power Stadium on Thursday (today).
Though there was natural disappointment to miss out on a place in the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League, Ndidi believes this newly-formed competition presents another chance for City to compete for a continental trophy.

“This is another great opportunity for us to be at our best, to try to get as many wins as we can and to come out with something from the season. It’s also good for the confidence looking forward. The season is still on,” Ndidi was quoted by the club’s website.
“Anything can happen. We look to do our best – playing our football, enjoying the game and winning games. It’s not the way the team is going now, but I think we are actually getting where we want to be slow and steady.
“The Club is bigger than every player and, as players, we know what we want for the Club. It’s just that concentration of where we are now to look forward to those achievements. You want to have them as a team and as a player also. I think it’s just a wake-up call for us to concentrate more on our game.
“For me [in Europe], it’s the exposure, it’s the atmosphere and also the feeling. I’ve been playing in Europe and it’s really good because, for every player, you want to play in Europe. It’s a great plus for your career and I think it’s very good for us as players.”

Until he learns to be a freekick scoring specialist he shouldn’t be hyped as a worthy candidate for SEs captaincy… Our captains should be able to Pop up to our rescue in difficult matches with that something extra….
Examples abounds Chukwu,Keshi, Oliseh,Okocha,King Kanu,Yobo,Enyeama,Mikel, all gave us something extra as captains in their Era just like Salah, Mane,Aboubacar and Mahrez are doing for their Teams in this Era
Ndidi is blessed with height and stamina. Guy, why can’t you develop your shooting and long passing range and accuracy. Also, you can score loads of goals with your head.
Ndidi upgrade your long range shoots and passes and headed goals.
I have seen central defenders like van Dijk pick their strikers wit longe range pass from the heart of his defense. Vandiyk has loads of headed goals as a defender also.
Ndidi, you can improve in these areas also by developing your fore sight to quickly release that long range passes to your strikers and equally shooting from a distance wen the opportunity surfaces… The Tunisia game is a testament!

Ndidi has a long way in terms of his game development and improvement. Many atimes, have seen where his shots are off target and rearly gives eye catching passes to attackers even though that his not his responsibility.
Some years ago, I could recall Yaya Toure during his time at Man City where he sometimes wins matches for Blue City with his free-kicks, long range shot and powering run from the midfield to the 18-yard box.
After about four years in England with Leicester City, he hasn’t really done anything new in his game play. The likes of Jessie, Kouyate, Partey and other African defensive midfielders will always rank higher than Wilfred Ndidi because of the extra contributions they make to their respective teams. It is not surprising to me that a top clubside is yet to table a serious bid for his service. My fear is that this trend will continue if he continues to stay at this level of his game.
When I say Ndidi is average and overrated, they will say am looking for attention.SMH. I mean as a defensive midfielder, you don’t just stick to that role alone. You add something extra. Don’t be scared of taking risk or making mistakes. Take those long range shots, make those runs, those powerful drive.
Before we all condemn this boy, we need to be sure of instructions given to by his coaches. He is not a free role playing midfielder, he has a match role on the pitch and he must execute it to the latter. The instructions from the coaches might be “break the opponents rhythm and look for the nearest offensive mildfilder” if he is not doing what the coach asked of him, he won’t maintain is first 11 status for more than 4 years. Before we blame, we should know the fundamental rudiments, because we are not there with them in training or match day tactical plans.
So Yaya toure, Casemiro, kouyate, and other DMs were not giving specific tactical instructions Abi???
