Watching the highlights only won’t give us fair judgement of the team so I decided to watch the match live and what more can I say than to appreciate and commend the team for their discipline on the field.
This is not a typical Nigeria style where skills and show man is lively. The team is balance d and can play for three hours non stop, they hardly lose possession and it’s difficult to penetrate them . Have never seen a Nigeria team so calm and disciplined like this team and it will be difficult to beat them .
However, one thing I want the coach to introduce is the missing creative players and goal poachers. If five good attacking midfielders cum strikers are added to this team then Nigeria should expect the World Cup . This is how a team should play , no individual brilliance each player work for the next player. I must commend the coach for stamping his authority on the players because I thought these players can’t dribble then I noticed one players dribbling three four players and when I looked at the coach’s eyes I can see he wasn’t happy with showmanship.
In conclusion picking a player for the future in a team like this to represent is at national team might be difficult because they all work for the team .
Congrats to the boyz. The most important thing is they’ve qualified. There are lots of improvement needed in this team. I would say max 13 players from this team should make the final list. I would suggest the coach after this tourney is over to get to Europe and scout good 10 additional players to compete with his 13 players. We need another left and right back. Okoro is good but he needs competition. Maigari the right back is not too smart as a football, he is too aggressive in his tackles especially tackling a player facing his own direction. There are some 9ja young boiz in Italy, Spain, Germany, England that can be added to this team to give it bite. The coach should also learn to make quick changes, there were times Ayuma couldn’t run anymore but was still left on d pitch, i guess d coach knows best as he was one of d players dat converted his penalty. Japhta and the rest of the attack should learn to be less selfish and pass the ball quicker. Just a tot

If only the Oliseh guy had been more clinical or creative in the 18-yard box, it would have been 1-0 now.
The coach rightfully yanked him off. Hopefully, they win it in extra time.
These Senegalese boys keep simulating and making a meal out of tackles, and neither the coach nor the captain is pointing that out to the ref???
And this our number 9. Irierhi is just like Awoniyi, full of potential and near misses, but no goals to show.
We have the possession and some nice interplays but can’t break down the defence yet.
Congratulations Nigeria! Chile 2025 here we come!
Congrats to the boys!
