Abraham however unlocked the visitors defence with the curtain-raiser in the 52nd minute following a perfect pass from Brazilian midfielder Willian.
Christain Pulisic sealed victory for Chelsea with the second goal 13 minutes from time, his fifth in the last three league games for the Blues.
Frank Lampard’s men next league game is against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
