AC Milan Will Learn From Champions League Loss To Liverpool – Tonali

AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali says they’ll learn from their Champions League campaign.

Milan’s run came to an end with defeat at home to Liverpool on Tuesday night.

“We knew it was a difficult game, as even without some of their first-choice players, Liverpool have so much strength in depth,” Tonali told Sky Italia.

“We learned from the experience against these top teams and that is what we will take with us going forward. We could’ve done more, that is always true, but we didn’t hold back today and cannot turn back time.

AFCON 2022 Zabira

“All we can do now is continue along our path and focus on the next objective.”

Milan no forza go anywhere. Dem no get any forza.
Forza Milan don change to Fiacco Milan. Pigro Milan. Debole Milan!
They are a shadow of their former glory. To be eliminated from the C/L, right inside their backyard, the San Siro? Abomination! Just as bad as CAR beating Nigeria in Lagos.
As for Fikayo Tomori, he scored a good goal to start with, only to lay a huge egg right inside his own danger area, gifting Liverpool with the winning goal. Instead of clearing the ball, he wanted to be cute, lost the ball, and the rest is history.
Performances like that will not help his chances with the 3 Lions, with so much competition available in the center back position.
We want to remind our defenders that passing the ball in the danger area may look good, but it is not necessary, and is fraught with risk, especially now that many teams are so good at pressing high up the pitch. So many goals are being gifted nowadays because players want to exchange passes with their goalies in their danger area. Jorginho’s error is still fresh in memory, and here we have Tomori making the same mistake yet again! Hope our SE defenders are taking note. Just clear the ball if in doubt. No mess, no hanky panky please.
Those that want to use Ekong to prepare Afang soup, what is your comment about Tomori’s huge gaffe yesterday? Are you going to conclude that he has no talent because of one terrible mistake?
