AFCON 2021: Salah Not A Threat To Eagles –Ndah

AFCON 2021: Salah Not A Threat To Eagles –Ndah

Super Eagles defender, Olisa Ndah has expressed confidence that the team will handle Mohamed Salah and Egypt in the right way in today’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Group D opening game.

Ndah stated this in an interview with Brila FM, where he also said that the players are working really hard to ensure that they pick the maximum points.

“The game won’t be an easy game because we all know Egypt and their capability.

“But we have all we need to win because we have been working so hard.

“I don’t really think about Salah as a threat, instead we have to focus on ourselves because we really know what we can do.I think we can handle him.”

While the Eagles, who finished third at the 2019 edition of the football showpiece in Africa, will be seeking their fourth title, the Pharaohs will look to conquer the continent for a record-extending eighth time.

Top defenders in EPL are weary of Salah and you are here saying you will handle him. I hope you don’t swallow your words after the match. Even though SE win, and Salah score, it means that you could not handle him. Unless he did not score at all.

    • I’m really fed up with this salah salah thing. Each time I try to read an update on Afcon, it’s salah the headline even when his team is not playing.

I wanted to read an update on Morocco Ghana match, the first thing that popped up was salah is hot , salah the best in the world, salah is this and is that.

It’s high time they gave the cup to salah then and let’s end the tournament.

@Elijah Samson. I Know you know nothing or little about Ndah. While I do put up high there, I won’t also underrate him at all. He has not played against Salah before and doesn’t know what to expect, the same goes for Salah. So if he is optimistic that he can neutralize the salah effect, all we need to do is encourage him. In the game of football, the best team doesn’t always win. Liverpool vs Real Madrid was a typical example. I was looking forward to the Salah effect, but I don’t think Salah lasted 20mins in that game due to injury. While I don’t pray that he gets injured, we may not also be able to rule that out. Liverpool lost that game because the team was built around one man (Mo Salah)

So, what Ndah is saying may not be out of place. The truth is, if Super Eagles are that desperate to win this game, that can arrange injury for Salah, earn a yellow card and that will be all.

Don’t be disrespectful. He didn’t dismiss Salah. An eagle is an eagle, after the elders have laid their hands on your head.

We were not too impressed the way Ndah was smuggled in, but now that he is here let’s accept him.

That’s disrespectful man. The guy just expressed how he feels. That Egypt team is not a match for super eagles. If supplies to attack are well dealt it, I don’t see why we can’t beat them hands down.

Should they lose they still have a couple more games to redeem themselves.
We are not in the knockout stages yet which carries much tension. But a win is a good way to start a tournament especially coming up against one of the tournament favourites.
However,I think Salah has dominated most of the comments from our crew to the players,I hope this does not lead to tension going into the match because when you talk too much about an opponent it shows you are scared.
Nigeria do have a history of losing games before it started against teams that have a super star.We talk too much about the star it dominates our discussions and we have always lose this way.
We lost to Rabah madjer and Algeria,Maradonna and Argentina,Messi several times and Argentina,Mahrez and Algeria,Abedi Pele and Ghana today Salah and Egypt.
      I am worried.

Brilliant position my friend. I feel the respect for Salah is damm too much. While I will never play down what He can bring to the table, I will not also want that to heap pressure on our team by telling them how good Salah is. When Salah was asked to make comment on what Ahmed Musa said about him, his response shows that he was also hopeful that a miracle will happen.

Mo Salah is a great player anytime, any day. however, result may not go his way today.

We also won against Drogba, Yaya Toure, Ronaldo, Crespo, Veron (U 23), Stoickov, Raul, Herro, Zubizerrera(France 98), Abdelhafid Tastfout of Algeria, Joel Tiehi, Kalusha Bwalya the great, We even defeated France in France under Amodu. Nigeria is like NEPA, anything can happen anytime. Fingers crossed is the best approach

  • God bless you Ndah.

See My spirit tells me that @JimmyBall hands are not clean. That guy is part of the corruption we are blaming the NFF for. He works with the NFF in smuggling players and then gets his percentage in return. If not we were all here when he was vehemently pushing for Ndah over Akpoguma.. That we will all see. that Ndah will make it to the team. And like a joke boom here is Ndah all of a sudden. That

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

    *That guy is a suspect*

    • Chidiomimi 2 years ago

@MONKEY POST I really like to read your comments and I am one of your fans. If I disagree with you on a matter or comment, that does not mean I don’t like you but I think you should give Ndah a chance. He was not smuggled in my opinion. Every coach has a preference and if our interim coach feels this guy will produce a result, while not keep your fingers crossed till the guy in question messes up.

I feel Ndah is one of the best defenders playing in Africa for now. If he is played today, that could be his lunching pad to move to Europe, and that way, you won’t even disrespect him again. While I miss Apoguma, I will not disrespect Ndah.

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

“I feel Ndah is one of the best defenders playing in Africa for now.” Really? Any thats your feeling and opinion. Like you said all fingers crossed. We will see about that claim later today and for the rest of the tourney. Have a nice day.

  • You guys always make me laugh … Agree and disagree..I love you guys.. Let’s support our Team.. Nigeria team might not be at their peak at the moment but are treat to any opposition, bet me Egypt will be surprised today..

ALL OF YOU WORSHIPING MOHAMED SALAH WILL BE PUT TO SHAME TODAY AFTER THE MATCH

  • ogboko 2 years ago

    ok naa

  • I don’t know why you all scared of Salah, if our defenders can not pen him down today, we have some of our attackers that are also treat to their defenders. So today’s game is 50 50, but as a Nigerian we will all laugh at the end of 90 minutes.

    • I told you,UP Nigeria. Did you see what happened? Did u see Salah at all? That is football for you
