“We’ll see if they’re going to keep them or send them back. But they are both injured unfortunately for us.”

Meanwhile, Abdul Fatawu has been left out of Ghana’s squad due to injury.

  • If Ndidi fails to feature in this Afcon , we will not make it out of the group

All my fears about this Ndidi has been confirmed again. He always gets injured whenever super eagles are getting ready for an important matches…

I don’t know why Ndidi has become injury prone like this. He Hadly he stays fit for two months these days and that has drastically reduced his market value from 75m to around 18m now.

I just hope that their injuries ain’t that serious at all…

Without senior man & Wilf, I don’t see eagles achieving much in this tourney. No one covers that DM role better than Wilf & No one has scored more important goals than senior man for eagles lately.

I hope Paseiro can make changes if they are truly injured. We can’t manage an injured players less than two weeks to the tournament.

  • I had expressed this fear in my comments here a week ago . I said then specifically that for Nigeria to do well in this tournament 4 players have to be injury free 1 ) Oshimen 2 ) Ndidi 3 ) Iwobi 4 ) Simon .

I’m sorry for Super Eagles under coach Paseiro and most especially NFF.

How can the Nigeria Football Federation and the coach play with the Nigerians’ emotions like this?

If Nwobodo is still playing regularly, which I believe, and why can’t the gaffer replace him with Ndidi? That is the perfect replacement for Ndidi.

Dessers for Nacho if the Senior man is not fully fit, then case closed.

We have the players now. Why are NFF and coach Paseiro doing like this.

We have no time to waste time kę. I hope Super Eagles won’t be disgraced in Ivory Coast with the situation of things going.

    No1. Dessers
    No2. Nwobodo
No3. Nwakali should be called immediately because African football is more physical and can’t be compared with European football.

Although, I don’t expect that much from the gaffer. All the best Super Eagles. God bless Nigeria!!!

@omonaija This Wnakali you keep clamoring for wont contribute anything to eagles his class his below what we need at the moment. Tell us how many of his matches have you been watching that made you so adamant that he is the missing link . The only player i will recommend is Yussuf Alhassan that guy is a machine and can play 200 minutes , very discipline with the ball and doesn’t over do things . He keeps it simple.
Personally i believe Iheanacho should be dropped because he hasn’t featured in his club last five matches, I don’t think he will be fit for the nation”s cup Desser should be drafted immediately.
But the am seeing things these two players might still make it even if they are injured as they will bribe their way into the team , it’s just for them to forget their allowance to those rogue in the NFF.

    • Yusuf for ndidi and moffi for kel, if you ask me, only ndidi and VO are irreplaceable in that team, chuckzy can give us kelechi if talk to properly.

Ehe! Them don start.. PESEIRO will create a new record of failure for the NFF this AFCON, a country of 250m, we can’t allow Peseiro short-change us, when very good teams named 27, Peseiro insisted on 25, now with Ndidi and Iheanacho injured, i bet you, there will be no replacements for them. We are going to AFCON with 23 diminished team. Shame on NFF!

The SE coach has till Jan 10th to make changes to the squad. Ndidi ordeal started long time ago when Brendan Rogers was Leicester city coach. When he had injury, instead of waiting for the injury to heal properly, the coach decided to rush him to start playing.

I must say this that Peseiro is lazy and nff are not sincere also. The selection of players into the team are questionable because of selfish interest. Alhaji Guso led team is the continuation of Amaju’s philosophies There are better players across the globe than he Iheanacho’s, Ndidi’s and others. They preferred the old wine than to have a squad with different philosophy compared to the last squad that represented us in the last afcon. I am not expecting any good outing from the team. Nigerians should lower their expectations from this current team less you kill or disturb yourselves unnecessary.

I think they’ll be fit for the tournament. But if they’re not, Yusuf can replace Ndidi, Ejuke for Iheanacho.

    • Coach only has 1 week to “fine-tune” his non existent strategies. If ihe has not played Leicester 5 matches and real age has really caught up with wilf, is it not unwise to still keep them in an already limited squad? I don’t expect them to go far in the tournament though.

I strongly feel the injuries are not too serious.. if they were Leicester city won’t release them to the Nigerian team..

We have 2 weeks to our first game and it is possible they get back to their feets before the first or at least the second game..

We need ndidi and iheancho, they’re one of our best players

  • Isn’t it obvious the Onyeka is no value to the squad. He is so unreliable and hasn’t proven his worth. With the news that Ndidi is injured, onyeka should have fit in easily but, he is not reliable, trusted and shows he is not super eagles worthy. My question is, why is he then included?
I have never liked his game play and has no attribute I can tip him on

  • John-1 4 months ago

They wouldn’t be released if the injuries were serious. Oyibo people don’t play with their business

  • They can recover anything, even if they recover rushing them into African tournament might be risky. Get two midfielder and forget about adding any striker, the calibre of strikers you have pesiro should do you good.

  • According to owngoal.com, Yusuf and Moffi are being lined up to replace the stricken Leicester City duo of Iheanacho and Ndidi.

Ndidi and Iheanacho are senior men of the team which is in sharp contrast to Yusuf and Moffi who represent virgins in international tournament football.

Perhaps Nwakali and Paul Onuachu would be far more suitable to replace players with tournament experience due to their pedigree and current form.

    What do you think?
