AFCON 2023: Nwabali Wins Man-Of-The-Match Award In Eagles Win Over South Africa

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali was the hero of the night as he was named the Man-Of-The-Match award in Nigeria’s victory over South Africa in the semi-final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nwabali, who has been outstanding in the tournament, showed great composure and confidence in today’s win over Bafana Bafana.

He saved the team thrice with his quick reflexes and positioning to deny South Africa from scoring.

Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, who plays for South African top-flight club Chippa United, produced a good one-hand parry to foil Evidence Makgopa as half-time approached.

However, during the penalty shootouts Nwabali was outstanding as he saved two penalties to ensure the Super Eagles book a place in the final of the 2023 AFCON.

    NWABALISTIC NWABALIZER.
    The award is thoroughly deserved.
Nigeria has finally found Enyeama and Ikeme replacement. Reliable hands between the sticks.
I come dey fear now. Nwabalizer should find somewhere else to go instead of SA after the Afcon, make dem no kill am for us ooo.
Aina troway penalty outside stadium. Ball don exit Bouake, and is now heading toward Yamassoukro.
But Nwabalizer said DON’T WORRY BRO, I GOT YOU!
Aina has been ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC for us in this tournament. Anybody can miss a penalty. The penalty miss does not undo all the good work he has done so far.
    Congrats to the entire team.
Peseiro and his assistants, unu do well ooo.
    And all the players.
    Nwabalizer in goal.
Union Troost, marshaling the defense like a general. Our defense dey like Fort Knox.
Osimhen, fighting from the front, e no dey gree for anybody. Lookman, LOOKING up and down for goals.
You are all fantastic. Well done lads.
Now we are in the final. One more game, one more win.
    THE TROPHY BECKONS.

N.B – NFF ONIGBESE, make unu try pay these guys when they comeback ooo. Hopefully they win the trophy, and collect the $7milla prize. Please make sure they are all very well paid!

    • Speak for urself because myself, @ayphilly, @deo ,@glory and few others are solidly behind him and the team, even while he was playing his fav. 442, it’s obvious he knows what he want from his players, the chances most be there and his team are never boring to watch.

Congratulations to u nwanne, U really deserve it big time. I really wonder what would have happened to us if we hadn’t found you. Your level of consistency is outstanding! And congratulations to the coach. Your performance so far has been wonderful even though nobody gave u a chance. You have done well and i hope u make more giant strides with the team. You are gradually becoming a sound tactician whilst having all the hallmarks of morinho. To Osimhen, your goals will come in handy in the finals. Relax and be patient. God bless u all!

When i called the manager professor last year i was attacked!

    • Greener 8 months ago

All his substitutions were spot on. The substitutes all played in beautiful penalties.

  • Well deserved, now you all calling Peseiro site engineer prior to this tournament need tender open apology, he shows his smart side since the start of this AFCON and still show it today, Moffi, kelechi and omeruo simply involve in this match to take the penalties which means the coach know his players very well and this a coach that’s not even with this guys for 2yrs yet.

NFF need do whatever within there power to  keep Peseiro, he is a good coach.

  • Well next for Paseiro is to qualify us for world cup.
Nigeria drawing with Lesotho and Zimbabwe are not good omen.
After AFCON next is world cup.

All praises goes to our Oga number one. My good friend called the coach “professor Peseiro” l totally agree with him. He is the best coach we had for the past half a century. He still carried us to the final of this AFCON in the absence of Boniface and Ndidi. l apologized for my insinuations to this ‘distinguished professor’ of our time.
Sorry sir. Who else would have discovered our Nwabilize goalkeeper? a man of the match tonight. Kudos to our professor Peseiro of Nigeria. We will qualify for the World Cup with the Professor in charge.

God has answered our prayers by giving us Nwabali. I hope he grows from strength to strength. It has taken a long time of experimentation. No one hates Okoye or Uzoho. They were part of the experimentation that led to the discovery of Nwabali.

We thank them for their efforts. But for now, Nwabali has swept then off the stage. Let’s accept that and move on. No hating. Acceptance, and one love.
