AFCON 2025Q: We Are Ready To Forfeit Three Points To Libya, We Just Want To Go Home -Boniface

Victor Boniface has said the Super Eagles are ready to forfeit the three points to Libya.

Boniface wrote on X that the players are only interested in going home.

“This is getting scary now. You guys can have the point, We just want to return to our country.”

The Eagles were detained at the airport in Libya for over 10 hours by the country’s authorities.

The Eagles were to face Libya in Tuesday’s second leg in Benghazi.

In the first leg in Uyo the Eagles won 1-0 thanks to a late goal by Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.

You must be joking @MONKEY POST,our boys as you’re aware are on way back.I support their decision 100 per cent,no way can football be played under such hostility.
No food,no bed to lie in after flying over 12 hours,no destination even in the 1930’s this game would still not take place in this extreme inhumane situation.
But like i said in my previous post, all these shenanigan would have been avoided had the Nigerian authorities proactive enough to make the Libyan trip easier last week

I am worried with all the scenarios. My concern is that CAF will punish Nigeria. Instead of pulling out, our boys should have played the match and punish them in their backyard, then file protest to CAF with 24 hours.

    • Punish them with empty stomach and no training? What if the reverse happen?
