Team Nigeria started on a good note in men’s handball event following a comfortable win against Togo at the African Games on Wednesday.
The Nigerian side trounced their Togolese opponents 38-19 in the preliminary round of the competition.
They will now hope to make it two wins in two when they play Mali on Friday
Meanwhile, Nigeria was in action in the final of men’s 50m Freestyle swimming also on Wednesday.
But it was not to be for Abduljabar Adama who came very close to finishing on the podium.
Adams narrowly missing out as he came in fourth with a time of 23.01s.
