Ahmed Musa Loses Mother

Super Eagles winger, Ahmed Musa, have announced the demise of his mother, Sarah Moses, Completesports.com reports.

Mrs Moses, Completesports.com learnt, gave up the ghost at a private hospital in Abuja on Thursday after a brief illness.

Musa, who plays for Saudi Arabian top flight side, Al Nassr announced the sad news on social media on Thursday

“What a sad day of my life, just lose my mum 😭😭😭😭😭,” Musa who is Super Eagles vice-captain tweeted on Thursday.

Musa’s mum passed away barely 24 hours after the Super Eagles star prayed fervently for her survival from ill-health.

“I am sure being tucked in bed is not the best thing you know to do. All your children are waiting for you to get out of bed and say ‘I am back in action’. Get well soon Sweet Mum!❤️🙏,” reads his Twitter post hours earlier.

The late Moses who hails from Edo State, South South Nigeria is the second wife to Musa’ s father who died when the former Leicester City winger was seven years old.
she is survived by five other children, including the Super Eagles star and his four sisters.

The burial rites is expected to be announced by the family in due course.
