Flying Eagles head coach, Paul Aigbogun, says the team is fully prepared for today’s (Saturday) Group A clash against Burundi at the 2019 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Cup in Niger, Completesports.com reports.
Hosts Niger will take on the Amajita of South Africa in the competition’s opening game at the Stade Seyni Kountche, with the Flying – Burundi clash to also take place at the same venue after that.
The Flying Eagles who are the most successful side in the history of the U-20 AFCON with seven titles are back in the competition after missing out on the last edition.

Aigbogun reiterates that the main objective of his team is to qualify for the World Cup assuring they are fully relaxed going into the first match against Burundi.
“Our main objective is to qualify for the World Cup. Our match against Burundi have no pressure and there is nothing special since we are prepared and ready for the occasion. Our main goal is to qualify for the World Cup,” Aigbogun told reporters.
The top four teams in the competition will represent Africa at the FIFA U -20 World Cup later this year in Poland.
