Aina Faces Forced Torino Exit

Super Eagles defender,Ola Aina is set to be offloaded by Serie A side Torino in this summer transfer window.

Aina has had limited game time at the club following his return from the African Cup Of Nations in January, where the Super Eagles were ousted by the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the round of 16.

Torino Technical Director Davide Vagnati is looking to sell Aina to a club outside Italy preferably in the Premier League where the defender once plied his trade.

According to Calciomercato.com Aina is valued at around 10 million Euros by the Turin based club.

Aina joined Chelsea’s academy at the age of 11 , turning out for Chelsea at the U-18, U-19 and U-21 levels.

He joined the Blues senior squad in 2015 and in 2017 he was loaned to Hull City.

He was loaned to Torino in 2018 and the Italian side triggered his release clause in 2019 .

He was loaned to Fulham in the 2020/21 season.

Aina played for England internationally at the U-16,U-17, U-18, U-19 and U-20 levels before pledging his international future to Nigeria in 2017 and he has played 17 games with the Super Eagles.

Aina made 23 appearances in all competitions for Torino in the 2022/22 season.

Torino finished 10th in the Serie A standings in the 2021/22 season with 50 points after playing 38 games.
