Can Peseiro who has been fantastic with team selection, kindly replace Aina with Nathan Tella please. At least, if only to tie him to Nigeria as well as see what he can bring to the table. Ola Aina once fit, we all know is a sure banker for AFCON/WORLD CUP. So lets try out just another new player like Tella.

    • Ignatius Abo 7 months ago

@Glory, no be today I know say you sabi ball wella. NATHAN TELLA is far better than some of the players on the list. We need him ASAP. Alhassan Yusuf is another player we have to invite.

WITHOUT WASTING TIME, COACH PASEIRO SHOULD INVITE EBUEHI TO REPLACE HIM

  • I think he will replace aina with Tyronne Ebuehi. thats the more Sound move

    • Ignatius Abo 7 months ago

@Ugo, let’s not lie to ourselves, Ebuehi has not been very convincing. I n I still like am sha but me think say Nathan Tella or Ebube Duru are better options.

      • Glory 7 months ago

Thumbs up brodaman @ Abo. Tyrone no doubt is a good player but presently has Bright Osayi and Aina above him especially with the brand of football Peseiro is trying to play.
And again we all have seen Tyrone and know what he can bring already. So the best bet is, let’s see what other new players can offer if only to create a much wider pool of dependable option in the event of unavailability due to injuries and many others.

This clearly gives Bruno oyeamachi an opportunity to impress again at the Left back in the absence of Sanusi and Ola. Let’s not confuse the right back for anything because Osayi Samuel is the first choice at RB. Tyrone can be given a chance to be an option for the RB as well to create further options just as we have Collins as 3rd choice Left back. Ola aina will be missed because he is very effective at both LB and RB…

    • Glory 7 months ago

Yes brodaman Chima. That left back is sorted already. That boy onyemachi, man dem. I think we have got a really good weapon there.
As for the right back, it’s definitely between these three; Aina, Osayi and Tyrone. There is a fourth who unfortunately is injured; Ehizogie of Udinese. But I think this friendly should be a perfect opportunity to see what Tella can bring as well as cap him. YOU JUST NEVER KNOW AND MAIN TOURNAMENTS NEVER OFFERS CHANCES TO TRY OUT PLAYERS.

Awaziem is the right man for this replacement, he is doing well for his club, he is young and strong, he has a good reputation in that right back for eagles, giving aina toughtime in afcon 2019, also option for central defense, he deserve a place with the current eagles.

    • Greenturf 7 months ago

      Absolutely!@Collins I’d

      • Ayphillydegreat 7 months ago

Absolutely spot on Collins Id. Awaziem is the player we currently need anywhere in that defense as long as he’s fit.

        • Ignatius Abo 7 months ago

@ Ayphillythegreat What about Olisa Ndah and Valentine Ozornwafor?

          • DEFBLOW 7 months ago

He should bring in another attacking midfielder…we have enough cover in other spots, we need more AMFs.

  • Empire 7 months ago

You’re spot on Collins Id, Awaziem is very good, but i wish the coach can invite and cap tie Nathan Tella either…

  • Ololo 7 months ago

Why are we in a rush to cap tie tella.. we sometimes appear desperate for this foreign born players..

Tella is still finding his feet in Leverkusen a club Boniface a home grown has proven to be one of their best players.. let’s allow him grow his game first and give him more time to be at his best for us.. he has already stated he prefers Nigeria so we should allow him get better.

Who can tella bench from our current wingers in Simon, chukwueze and lookman if Musa was invited ahead of him then I would say it is unfair but our present wingers are doing better..

We should stop hyping these foreign born, yes most Are good players but some of our home boys who went abroad are sometimes better.. by the way an ebere eze has been dropped from the newly released English team.. a boy that would have done better playing for us.. Tammy Abraham wasted now an ebere eze.. it would take something special for him to reclaim a shirt in the current English team while playing for lowly crystal palace

    • Ololo it is your type that frustrates me. Oga cool down jare we are finally getting the better of your evil ex Internationals and some NFF offcials because we have a New Honourable Sports minister that Loves and understand modern Sports. If e pain you let it pain you but Pesiero will call him up sooner than later he is at least we all know X100 of any NPFL local based player..

The home boys you speak off who went abroad name one winger that is on his level Chidera Ejuke is the only one that comes to mind and he has been out of form for 2 years now and counting name another bro. If the coach does not Call Tella he must try and cap Destiny Udojie as well. Adams Okor is a good player to call up I hope we get him.

      • Ololo 7 months ago

Probably you fail to understand my point.. tella is a good player and will soon join the team.. but for now let’s be patient with him.. we have Simon, lookman and chukwueze who are first team players for their clubs and are ahead of tella at the moment so let’s not rush him….

To the foreign born they are Nigerians and if they are better than the ones who were born in Nigeria they should be invited ahead of the home grown player especially when they are willing to play for Nigeria but we should not allow these foreign Born use us in their bid to force their country of choice to invite them for games.. for example destiny udogie recently stated that Nigeria is never in his plans and Italy is the only country he could play for.. the question is this: was there anytime a Nigerian coach went to meet him to ask him to play for Nigeria? Anytime they want to force their way to play for their country of choice they begin to grant interview starting how they love their country of birth but can consider Nigeria in the future forcing themselves to be considered by their foreign countries..

Seeing Ebere Eze name missing from the current English team was painful to behold, a player that would have done so well if he considered Nigeria but we should not beg these boys and only cap the ones who truly want to play for us . A good example is tella and I can’t wait for him to receive his first invite

Mr Ololo, Imo. you articulated your views in a simple fashion for guys to understand. Thank you for doing just that.

  • pompei 7 months ago

    Aina, get well soon!
Peseiro should try and invite Tella abeg. Na friendlies like this be the best opportunity to observe new players.
Someone of Tella’s quality is always a welcome addition. Let us see what he can do against Saudi and Mozambique, then Peseiro can make his final decision.
This is how we dilly dallied on inviting Osayi Samuel. Some were even saying who is he coming to bench. Now we have seen him, and his critics are singing a different tune.
Tella may work out, or not. But we can’t tell for sure if we don’t try him first.

  • Larry 7 months ago

Tella just scored from an acute angle. The commentator just called him an English player. Based on what I have seen uptill now, Igho Ogbu and Tella should be considered for this game.
