Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi was an unused substitute in 10-man West Bromwich Albion’s 4-2 win against Hull City at the Hawthorns in the Championship on Sunday, Completesports.com reports.
Ajayi has so far made 38 Championship appearances with five goals for West Brom this season.
It’s now back-to-back wins for West Brom since football returned in England, as they improve their chances of securing automatic promotion to the Premier League next season.
They move just a point off leaders Leeds United on 77 points with five games left to play.
West Brom had a player sent off late in the game following Ahmed Hegazy’s sending off.
Charlie Austin opened scoring for West Brom in the 4th minute before Kevin Stewart equalised for Hull on 24 minutes.
Hegazy put West Brom 2-1 ahead on 37 minutes but Hull once again drew level this time through Mallik Wilks in the 48th minute.
Just a minute later after Hull equalised, their former player Kamil Grosicki gave West Brom the lead for the third time making it 3-2.
And with 14 minutes left in the game Grady Diangana put the game to bed by adding the fourth goal for the Baggies.
