Hull City have announced the departure of Nigerian winger David Akintola, who has left the club to join Cypriot side Omonia FC, reports Completesports.com.
The Tigers confirmed that Akintola’s contract was mutually terminated to enable him to complete his move to Omonia.
The 30-year-old will return to the Cypriot club for a second spell, having previously featured for Omonia in 2020.
His first stint was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but he still made seven appearances and scored two goals.

Akintola joined Hull City from Turkish Süper Lig outfit Çaykur Rizespor in August 2025.
He made 21 appearances for the Tigers during the 2025/26 season, scoring one goal and providing two assists. He also featured in Hull City’s FA Cup and Carabao Cup campaigns.
The winger has previously played for Turkish clubs Adana Demirspor and Hatayspor, as well as teams in Norway and Cyprus.
Akintola will now begin his second spell with Omonia as he looks to make an impact in Cyprus once again.
