Akpeyi Keeps 2nd Consecutive Clean Sheets As Kaiser Chiefs Beat Cape Town FC

Super Eagles goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi continued his impressive form in goal for Kaiser Chiefs, who thrashed visiting Cape Town FC 3-0 in Sunday’s Premier Soccer League (PSL), Completesports.com reports.

Akpeyi kept his second consecutive clean sheets after also shutting out Highlands Park in Wednesday’s 3-0 home win.

It was Akpeyi’s 14th league appearance for Kaiser Chiefs in the current campaign.

Kaiser Chiefs took the lead in the 11th minute through Leonardo Castro before Samir Nurkovic made it 2-0 on 64 minutes.

And in the 67th minute Erick Matholo added the third goal to make it two straight wins for Kaiser Chiefs.

The win saw Kaiser Chiefs stretch their lead to nine on 41 points over second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns.
