Samuel Chukwueze and Emmanuel Dennis will not be part of Nigeria’s squad that will take on the Desert Foxes of Algeria.

Chukwueze and Dennis are both injured and will miss the highly anticipated friendly against the two-time African champions.

Key players suffering injuries prior to games, this was part of what led to Qatar work cup elimination.

    • Ololo 2 years ago

This is why we must have a strong pool of players to pick from and this is a great opportunity to find them..

I’m wondering why Denis was invited in the first place when he is nursing an injury.. Issac success should be given the chance to replace Dennis but something tells me no more replacement will be called up.. success to our team!

      • Greenturf 2 years ago

Success is not scoring goals despite his team doing well so far,he needs to score a few goals, with that and his impressive performances he sure will get the managers attention.

        • Mahmud Shuaib 2 years ago

And how many goals did an injured Dennis score before he was invited?

          How many did ONYEKURU score?

Olayinka that is scoring, was he invited?

It’s the same thing you guys kept repeating here during ROHR’s ill-fated regime where his invitations were restricted to ONLY A FEW thereby restricting options

International Football as we see with successful nations like BRAZIL, GERMANY, SPAIN, FRANCE etc is about having a HUGE POOL of players

I recall during WESTERHOFF era Nigeria had TEAM A and Team B..There was a match Nigeria defeated UGANDA by 2;0 where WESTERHOFF had SIASIA captained the team and paired AMOKACHIE…First 11 was almost complete set

We saw it play out even during AMODU SHUAIBU’s tenure where during the shortlived LG CUP, AIYEGBENI who wasn’t part of the main team was the standout player

What stops these NFF clowns from extending their dragnets to all NIGERIAN players playing FIRST DIVISION Football in at least teams playing EUROPEAN FOOTBALL mixed with the regulars??

How can they leave out OLAYINKA and ALHASSAN?

Why not use this window to invite may be just 12 of the regulars and balance the list with 13 fresh call ups who are playing regularly this season?

Same thing they did, persisting with mediocre MADUKA and UZOHO refusing to give GAVIN BAZUNU a chance. Today at 20, that boy is FIRST CHOICE for both IRELAND and SOUTHAMPTON while UZOHO warms the bench at lowly OMONIA NICOSIA!

          • @Greenturf and Musa is the highest goal scorer in Turkey for the past 2 seasons abi to deserve call up before his injury.

Success contributed to 9 goals in Seria last season after finding form and coming from bench 2 goals 7 assists. this season he has about 5 key passes already and has played 5 4 games starting and 3 of the bench which is not a bad return the point is Success is showing improvement with every game and is pushing and adding to Udinese’s form who are 3rd in Seria A table. How many games has Musa played. Why must Nigeria’s criteria of invites be different to any other country?. Musa has never been a great player Musa has always been a flash in the pan who have 1 good game followed up by 20 bad games his whole international career and for about 5 years has been rejected by every club after 1 season even Kano pillars. Do you not see an eyebrow raising situation here. and also with this mentality and way of doing things will Nigeria come out of this self inflicted Hole caused by the NFF, Nigerian Government and Greedy players that do not want to give way for the younger generation

Am afraid there are too many ROOKIES..

Why don’t PESEIRO use this OPPORTUNITY to give an VAST EXPERIENCE IGHALO a CALL UP????

    • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

      *A VAST EXPERIENCE IGHALO*

I mean who will serve as a source of MOTIVATION and INSPIRATION to them since almost all our MAJOR PLAYERS are out

      OSIHME OUT
      SADIQ OUT
      CHUKWUEZE OUT
      DENNIS OUT
      BALOGUN OUT

Even with these sets of PLAYERS on the fIELD of PLAY, WE still need the VAST EXPERIENCE of IGHALO and MUSA to serve as a source of MOTIVATION in the DRESSING ROOM/OFF FIELD

    • Mahmud Shuaib 2 years ago

No, he can as well extend invitations to KANU, Utaka and Yakubull…joker!

And these are the first set of people to shout YOUTHS WANT TO TAKE BACK THEIR COUNTY

      Mtcheeeeewwww

      • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

        LMFAO!

And you think you will go far with all these YOUTHS you INVITED with no EXPERIENCE?

        You BUILD a TEAM GRADUALLY.

You don’t just wake up and overhaul it totally..

Am not saying there shouldn’t be any first timers, rookies or place for inexperienced players. but at least lets still have one or two old timers..(that is the only way they can get mentored)

AFCON R16 EXIT, NO WORLD CUP. GENERAL ROAH is still SAD just like most of US.

    https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1144252650?-42707:29210

    • Mahmud Shuaib 2 years ago

Sad Kee you and him dia
If he’s that good, why ain’t any WORLD CUP bound team looking his way?

      Morocco sacked and replaced
      Cameroon sacked and replaced

      Not even an African clubside

The 1 WC he managed to attend, he bungled it at the 88th minute. He repeated same trick a year later by crashing out to Algeria same 88mins…. mediocrity!

      • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

If you GUYS were PATIENT like SENEGAL who were PATIENT with CISSE for over 6 YEARS, the STORY would have been different now but no you GUYS were just in a HURRY to WIN the AFCON and the WORLD CUP with GENERAL ROAH first ATTEMPT…

Shebi now una dey regret? Don’t worry this is just the beginning…

        • Mahmud Shuaib 2 years ago

          Regret my foot!
          Cisse showed promises…ROHR regressed!

Cisse played at the Final of previous AFCON losing painfully via Penalties and followed it up by winning the last one.

You can see an uoward trajectory with his SENEGAL team both in results and playing styles unlike like your god who had no discernable playing style and who began to loose matches even at home to obscure countries
