Atlético Madrid President Enrique Cerezo has firmly dismissed Barcelona’s interest in Julián Álvarez, stating that the Argentine forward is not for sale.

However, responding directly to Barcelona President Joan Laporta’s comments, Cerezo insisted that Álvarez is an Atlético player and will remain with the club.
“Joan Laporta is a good friend and he already knows where Julián Alvarez is going to play next season,” he said.
“Let me insist: Julián is our player and will be our player next season.”
