Ambrose  Joins Scottish Club Livingston On 18-Month Contract

Scottish Premiership club Livingston FC have announced the signing of Nigerian defender Efe Ambrose on an 18-month-contract.

A well-known face in the Scottish game having racked up almost 200 appearances in his time at Celtic FC and Hibernian FC, Ambrose joins having most recently been signed with Derby County in the English Championship.

In his time at Celtic, the defender lifted four Premiership titles before winning the Championship at the first attempt with Hibernian, helping the Easter Road side back to the top flight.

With over 50 Nigeria caps to his name too, Ambrose won the African Cup of Nations in 2013 and was named in the AFCON Team of the Tournament.

Ambrose was unveiled on Tuesday along with Gary Holt & former Hibs teammate, Marvin Bartley.

He will wear the number 25 shirt and goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s trip to old club, Hibernian.

    Congrats young man.
    Next time, When your club gives you a brand new 3-year contract, don’t abandon it for a 6 month loan deal elsewhere….not now that you are at the twilight of your career. The people who said a bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush where not high on bitter kola when they said so. You are so lucky you could still find a club in mainstream Europe after being “clueless” for close to a year. I hope you have learnt your lessons.
