Joe Aribo has been handed the number the No. 7 Jersey at new club, Southampton, reports Completesports.com.
Aribo joined the Saints in a £6m deal from Scottish Premiership giants, Rangers last week.
The Saints released the men’s team squad numbers on their official website on Friday .
Shane Long was the last Southampton player to don the jersey.
The likes of Matt Le Tissier, Kevin Philips and Rickie Lambert have also worn the jersey in the past.
Aribo is currently with his teammates in Austria where they are preparing for the new season.
Southampton will take on Bundesliga club, RB Leipzig in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.
