Good selection.please find replacements for awaziem.I know musa has paid his dues but he is there on quota system.

  • Samuel 3 years ago

My people Nigeria has one of the deadliest .strking force in the world currently. Imaginne players like

    Dessers
    Kelechi iheanacho
    Simy nwankwo
    Victor osimhen
    Paul onuachu
    Terem mofffi
    Sadiq umar
    Ademola lookman
    Etc

    Our coach must deliver

  • Why was aribo dropped? I know he wants to have a look at Abraham marcus but aribo is a mainstay in the team. Unless he is injured or his club has some important match that im not aware of he should be in the team.
We are falling back to frank onyeka who has always flopped and shehu who cant perform during high profile matches with high profile teams.
Midfield still an issue for the super eagles in my observation.
The defense could also be an issue if we don’t bring in quality central defenders that can play at the highest level.
Without a solid midfield and defense our “solid strike force” will just be wasted.

    • @sportfan, that is the essence of international friendly, to try our fringe players to see what they can do at the highest level, not necessarily to win. Aribo is the mainstay of SE midfield, he has cemented his place, but we also need to have a quality back up.

  • Ako AMADI 3 years ago

The idea of a friendly is to see new plsyers, fresh faces, and not necessarily field Nigerias First XI. This is the time for tactical experimentation

  • Greenturf 3 years ago

Abraham Marcus is the newbie I do really want to see as well Awaziem will have a rare opportunity of playing in the central defence with the absence of regulars.
The likes of Moffi has a chance to cement his place in the team with an outstanding performance. It would take a breathtaking performance to leapfrog the regulars we have especially in the striking department.
The importance of this friendly against Cameroon is trying new tactics to use in the world cup playoffs as well to see what the new lads brings to the team.
    Looking forward to June 4.

  • Why not nwakali instead of onyeka

  • I wonder when ademola lookman and ejaria will ever be cleared to play for Nigeria. This is embarrassingly taken too long. What is happening to Leon balogun omeruo. What about the German guy that just switched – akpoguna. So sad sodiq is not playing again.

    • Greenturf 3 years ago

Leon and Akpoguma are crocked whereas Omeruo and Sadiq are involved in promoting playoffs otherwise they should be in the team.

  • Ololo 3 years ago

I guess rohn wants to give awaziem and jaminu Collins their last chance. If they don’t play well in the absence of the regulars then I see no reason why they should remain in the team.

For the forwards, I wonder how all of them will play at the same time.. Nigerians have demanded for moffi, simy and olayinka now let’s see what they can do with the regulars like osihem ,iheancho etc.. Obviously some won’t preform well

  • Please it’s SADIQ NOT SODIQ just spell players names the way it’s is abeg….Mtchewwww

  • Ayphillydegreat 3 years ago

I think Sadiq was left out due to his involvement in Spanish Segunda promotion playoffs. The list is ok let’s see how other fringe players can perform under pressure. Besides it’s only a friendly, some players will play themselves into reckoning while some may play their last game in a SuperEagles shirt. I particularly will like to see Simy, Olayinka and Moffi against a team like Cameroon. That will determine their readiness to be an integral part of the team going forward. Awaziem will have a chance to play in central defense, while Shehu and Onyeka can prove if either one can be an adequate backup to Ndidi.

  • Edoman 3 years ago

I reserve my comments until after the match. l am naturally wary of those players playing their games in second divisions. We shall see next week.

  • Abdul handsy 3 years ago

Guys! Wait o! What’s happening to impending switch of Ademola Lookman and Oviemuno Ejaria?

Hmmm why is it taking almost two years and yet nothing good seems happening about their switch?

I repeat once again that Jamal musiala completed his switch from England to Germany within 3weeks (the same England Nigeria is switching Ademola Lookman and Oviemuno Ejaria from fa).

Is FIFA being biased on which country to sanction their switch earlier than the other? If England is being reluctant to sign the aforementioned players’s documents, can’t FIFA compel England to do it within a stipulated time?

What of the case of Michael Olise of which I had severally prayed that it shouldn’t went like smoke varnished in the air. Has Olise decided not playing for us again or what’s happening ?

I am tempted to say that NFF simply means NO FUTURE FOCUS and it is supposed to be Nigeria football federation.

Amaju pinnick what are you there for and what’s taking your attention other than Nigeria players availabilities to play for this great country, did you know that with political rancour in this country right now, super eagles could take about 65percent of it off our head… Did you know that this is a means of uniting this country once again?

Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick you are not doing enough and you really need to buckle up and do the supposed of you as the NFF big wigs fa!

Pinnick we need those players clear once and for all and if FIFA has denied them being cleared let us know so that we can forget it na!

    Pinnick nawa for you o.

Which kind pattern be this na???

    • You are absolutely right. Imagine NFF taken 2 years to clear players from England to play for Nigeria. According to Owngoalnigeria.com, Engaland FA and Scottish FA are yet to sign their release warrants for these players and the NFF president Mr. Melvin Pinnick has not been able to find solution to this delay. It shows lack of seriousness on the part of FA we have. Moreover, I was shocked to read that Ghana FA has already appointed their Technical Staffs for U20 led by Mr. Maxwelll Konadu ( see soka25east.com) since April,27, 2021. whereas our own FA (NFF) is yet to appoint the under-age teams. Watch and mark today’s date the appointment will be made one month before the commencement of the underage qualifiers and when they fail they will find all kinds of stupid excuses to cover their ineptitude. Surely, NFF under Mr. Melvin Pinnick should be re-named No Future Focus and this is the name we should be calling them from now until we see positive change in administration.

  • Rather I think, NFF means No Future for Football….lol.
Rohr will be more serious minded in the first friendly. If we get a good result, more fringe and new players will get their chances in the second friendly. But if we don’t do well in the first match, Rohr will very likely stick with more of his regulars for the second.

  • wow rohr drops 20 goal a season Sadiq and takes Musa… it is clearly official Musa is bribing his way into selection

    • @iwunze. Did you check your facts out. Sodiq is busy with club engagement. Musa is the captain. What determines the success of a team goes beyond what happens on the field. I hope fans can understand that. No serious coach will drop Musa. What else do you want. To keep fit, Musa had to descend low to play for Kano pillars. What do you want again?

      • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Hahahaha….nor mind am. Ahmed Musa is the beginning and the end of his life problems…LMAO. As if Sadiq was the only one involved playoffs that was dropped.

      • Prof. Tamuno Offiali 3 years ago

Just as Enrique is NOT SERIOUS by dropping Spain and Real Madrid’s captain; Sergio Ramos, right??

        Lol.

You guys na wa….no wonder Nigeria is where it is today

A country of the Pantamis and Mallamis!

Mind you I have no problem with whoever the coach decides to invite or not, I only POINTED out what I consider a STRANGE statement

        • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Enrique up till recently has continued to pick Ramos for the same reasons Ahmed Musa is still in the SE. He only had to drop him now because of his injury woes. Despite that, the backlash he has received in the media is still unprecedented, which goes to show that many still recognize the value of Ramos even in his current crocked state. Enrique’s only letoff is his argument of Ramos’ fitness, especially going into a major tournament like the Euros.

“….Fully fit and fully concentrated, he should be there but I’d ask anyone who has seen him recently, is he either of those things? I think the answer is no….”

The last time we checked, Musa has played full 90 mins on both occasions since returning to Pillars and already delivered 1 assist. Which means he is both fully fit and fully concentrated.

      • @Christian ministries Nigeria, This is the kind of footballing decisions that are taken by coaches with sense and sentiments asisde. in Countries where things are done on merit not “so Called” reputation or bribe.

        https://www.aljazeera.com/sports/2021/5/24/sergio-ramos-left-out-of-spain-squad-for-euro-2020

        https://www.aljazeera.com/sports/2021/5/24/sergio-ramos-left-out-of-spain-squad-for-euro-2020

any news channel you want go and verify. This is why these countries grow in football and not stagnate. And here is a player (Sergio Ramos) World Cup Winner, Euro 2008 and 2012 winner with almost 200 caps and Rohr is fooling us telling us rubbish about Musa’s Experience whilst collecting bribe under the table NONSENSE!!!!

      • It is really sad!! I mean Musa is probably Buhari’s and the senates eye’s and Ears in that team. If this continues I won’t mind Biafra have our own national team. I mean we have the best players anyway in this god forsaken so called country

      • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Hehehehe…are you done…?! Pls when you are done kindly let us know. LMAO. I no sure say the matter really pain you…LMAO…because if e pain you you go don carry gun go shoot Musa…LMAO. The fact that you even cook up lies (Rohr is dropping Sadiq for Musa) shows your desperation and lack of merit in this case.
Pls dont wait till it continues….. quickly go and form your biafran team and leave our super eagles for us. LMAO

        • @Dr Drey you get mouth it seems that your only solace in life is when Musa is selected LOOOOOL!!!!! and clearly you haven’t learnt your lesson with me, because you can’t comment on another topic as, I slowly exposed ur poor footballing knowledge as I promised u I would on this forum back in 2018. Plantain seller like you low life bastard.

Are you even Nigerian waste of space Aboki like you?? What is that word you use to say eat rat poison na you go chop am very soon when Biafra is realised.

It doesn’t pain me oo Bros after all, all the best players in SE are my Igbo boys .. If we are to remove ourselves from this shit show they call SE what will your Nigeria Have?? a bunch of Aboki’s playing in Kano Pillars. LOOOOOLZZZZ to that asshole

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

            Hahahaha…are you done…??LMAO. Idiot is frustrated ….LMAO.

Pls What lesson have you offered this forum ever apart from tribal bigotry…? What football knowledge have you been exposing from as far back as from 2018…LMAO. The last time I checked you were on your knees begging people to like your comments if they think it makes sense only to garner more dislikes than any other person has ever had on this forum…not even Omo9ja in all his “glory” ever gathered that much….LMAOOoooo. If that is not an affirmation of your stupidity and uselessness to this forum I wonder what else is…..LMAOOOoo

This boy must be recovering from brain hemorrhage…..LMAO.

Pls what are you waiting for…? Kindly withdraw your players from the SE and quickly go form your Biafran team and lets see if the world will come to an end….LMAO. Im sure Cameroon’s 4 Afcons were won by biafran players ….LMAO…likewise Ghana’s 4 and Egypt’s 7 titles too….LMAO. Compound fool.

You for just say the reason the whole of mankind is still alive is because of biafra…..LMAO. Tribal Bigot.

What pains me for you is not that you are a tribal bigot, what pains me for you is that you havent still found a cure for your senselessness till date.

Pls next time you see Ahmed Musa in a SE jersey go and kiss a live wire….LMAO.

Rohr is dropping Sadiq for Musa….LMAOoooo…what a foolish comment….LMAOOOooo

          • “Rohr is dropping Sadiq for Musa”?? Means simply put that Musa is taking space in the team.. for instance we all know we have versatile forwards in that team that can play in any position. so if a winger is dropped for a CF makes no difference as they are versatile replacements far better than your God at present. My point is this..

MUSA IS FINISHED AND IS BRIBING HIS WAY IN THE TEAM JUDGING FROM THE HISTORY OF SE. AND THE PEOPLE THAT ARE BEHIND THE SCENES I WOULDN”T WRITE MY STATEMENT OFF AS FAR FETCHED..

BACK TO YOU ASSHOLE @Dr Drey.

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Hahahaha…..Fool…when the 31 man list was released was Musa taking Sadiq’s place…??? List is prunned down to 24 and Sadiq is de-listed because he has club engagements, how has musa taken his space…LMAO. How does a winger take the place of a CF when there are still 5 other CFs on the list…LMAOOooo Dumb idiot….LMAOOooo. Go school dem no go go….na to do dey smoke drugs…..LMAOOOooo.

Even you attempt to save face from your fat lie is a failure…LMAO. Captain Musa is finished but bagged an assist in his 1st match in 6 months…LMAO. He also bagged an assist in the last match he started for the SE….LMAO. he is truly bribing his way into the National team he has been in in close to a decade…LMAOoo…..pls go and hang yourself as a result…..bloody bigot.

        • @Dr Drey Let me be a tribal bioggot now wettin concern you Na??.. after all Yes It is common knowledge that Igbo’s, Fulani’s and Hausa don’t see eye to eye in this jungle called Nigeria for Decades now. right from when my Father lieutenant brigadier Uchechukwu Iwunze took a bullet to his waste for that god forsaken war, fighting for the rights of Igbo’s in Nigeria. So yes I am Proud Igbo man and if that makes me a Tribal biggot no shakes I am a very proud Tribal biggot. Anumanu

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Bloody idiot……let me also continue to worship Ahmed Musa….wetin concern you too…?!
            Useless pig.

  • THIS SADIQ SELF, EVERY TIME HE IS INVITED SOMETHING MUST COME UP, FIRSTLY THE CLUB STOPPED HIM DUE TO COVID, NOW CLUB ENGAGEMENTS. I HOPE WHEN HE WILL EVENTUALLY BE FREE HE CAN STILL GET AN INVITE TO THE SE. BECAUSE OPPORTUNITY IS LIKE BALD HEADED MAN. HE NEEDS TO BEND THE IRON WHILE IT’S STILL HOT. OPPORTUNITY IS JUST WASTING

  • King S 3 years ago

How come Aribo was left out?

  • Larry 3 years ago

Ozomwafor and Onyeka must really have some insiders in the national team.. How many matches did Ozomwafor played this season ?
May be the coach is seeing some special attributes in Onyeka but in my own estimation Samson and Nwobodo are better options.

    • Mr. Nice 3 years ago

So when they were not called their insider’s were on leave abi they were on transfer, you people should always be calming down like this ooo!!!

      • Eldridge Cleaver 3 years ago

Well said Brodaman. Ozornwafor and Onyeka na ballers. Therein lies their invitation to the Super Eagles. The Super Eagles is no longer Jankara market. Only deserving players like Ozornwafor and Onyeka deserve invitation. Gwerere Gwerere Gwerere… No be like before when evil agents will clamour for Ramon Azeez and Michael Babatunde to be invited. Babatunde that needed community prayer to provide 1 assist for Nigeria. Never again will we have such average players in the Super Eagles. Jah bless all deserving Super Eagles players.

        • Prof. Tamuno Offiali 3 years ago

That’s been disrespectful to Ramon Azeez man!

He was deserving of his invitations

You know a good footballer by how consistent he plays at a certain level for a considerable number of years, barring injuries.

Azeez was deputy skipper to Fortune in 2009 U17, Captained U20 in 2011, has been oscillating between La liga and the Segunda Liga CONSISTENTLY for the past 10 years!. He is one of a few class of Nigerian players with the highest number of appearances in the Spanish La Liga which in the Last 20 years has been one of the top 2 Leagues in the world!

If he wasnt that good he wont turn out for Almeria and Granada in La Liga.

Pls give him some credit. Truth is dude hasnt been lucky with fitness and that has hampered his development.

      • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Their insiders where outside…Lol…they’ve only just come inside last week….LMAO. Onyeka who has 4 goals and 4 assists from DM position this season including 10 appearances in the UCL isn’t good enough for invitation….Neither is Ozornwafor good enough as cover in CB position. Na dem sabi pass the coach.

        • JimmyBall 3 years ago

Onyeka plays in a league that is rated outside the top 10 in Europe… Just to remind us based on your template for invitation criteria… But it’s alright, let’s watch him play, I hope Coach Rohr can put his money to the bet and play him from the beginning against Cameroun, we don’t want 3minutes, 5minuted after regulation time for new players this time…

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Onyeka sure plays in a league that is outside the top 10…Can you name any other fit, consistent and/or available DM/CM we have in the top 10 leagues that should have been invited in his stead…?

And now that we have run out of options in his position, what should we do…? Leave the space empty…? Are the duo of Tijani and Nwobodo too playing in top 10 leagues…??? Have they played more matches than Onyeka this season…? Have they delivered more in terms of on pitch performances…? If 4 goals and 4 assists from DM position doesn’t make him a better fit as adhoc replacement ahead of those 2 then I wonder what else does. The fact that he even featured in 10 UCL games in the course of the season makes him notches ahead in the pecking order.

You are hoping Rohr can put his money to the bet vs Cameroon when he already gave him a start vs Algeria…..LMAO….so what exactly is your point…??? LMAO

    • Prof. Tamuno Offiali 3 years ago

And how many matches did Musa play this season too to be considered??

We all agree the gaffer needs to see other players, right??

Ozomwafor is a young centre back who trains regularly with Galatasary. He is left footed too. He is a unique and different kind of CB to what Gernot Rohr has in his disposal.

If, like most pro-Musa will want us believe, his invitation is to help him secure a move to a decent club and league; who knows if Ozonwafor is not invited so that prospective suitors can have a close look at him too.

After all, like the old cliche; whats good for the goose is also food for the gander!

      • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

I like your last statement…what’s good for the goose is also good for the gander.
If we have been always allowed fit and playing captains retire peacefully and voluntarily from the SE (except for cases like Oliseh and Enyeama who were prematurely retired) why the hulaballoo about Musa even if he is playing for uKukurooko dragons of Sapele….?!
Once again…what’s good for the goose is also good for the gander.

  • Good selection from the gaffer…

Looking forward to the match proper.

    @Jimmyball how far?
Olayinka is in i hope there’ll be peace in this forum Henceforth.

    • JimmyBall 3 years ago

… @UBFE… Hahaha. Nice one… You no see as I quiet? Let Onyeka and Shehu start as our double pivot against Lions.

  • Hubert 3 years ago

@ ugo Pls talk wetin you know, here is public domain. Sadiq is in club engagement ok.

    • And Bayern Munich is Scouting Sadiq at the present moment. Just imagine Rohr drops a player A whole Big Force of Europe is chasing for a Player who is plying his trade in Kano Pillars and couldn’t even make relegated Wes Bromwich Albion bench. and you want to sit there and tell me Rohr is not collecting Bribe from Musa @Hubert biko emechila nti m with your nonsense

      • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

No…Rohr should have left Sadiq on the list even when its glaring he wouldn’t be available due to his club’s participation in promotion playoffs…LMAO. Wherever you got your “Rohr is dropping Sadiq for Musa” unfounded theory….LMAO….You will tell us if Musa’s name wasn’t in the list ab-initio. Mr you are the one disturbing our ears with your nonsense biko. Captain Musa is there and will remain there for the foreseeable future. Deal with it…LMAO

  • The list is ok….my own is let all of them taste game time let us see what they can bring to the table.

  • Dr Tee 3 years ago

@ Ugo…. Bro it as though you have a big problem o. why cant you just understand that Rohr did not invite Sadiq cos of club engagement. what did Musa steal from you sef. Nawa oo. I dont always comment o, but your continual attack on Musa is quite Appalling. Bro calm down na is not as though he stole something from you na.

    • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

He has mental problems…LMAO. His tribal bigotry is daily driving him closer to running naked in the market square…LMAO

    • He did not steal something from me But this injustice of Musa Selection is an Direct example on the Injustice that Exists in this country in other sphere’s of life and has to be abolsihed simply put. He may not be stealing from me but his inclusion is definitely not merited and he is stealing the place of more deserving players who need the exposure more so than him and the money for that matter so yes he may not be stealing from me directly but he and his cohorts are stealing from my brothers.

SE is not his birth right and is not the Birth right of any Aboki from the north, no matter how many Igbo’s or Yoruba’s or akwa ibom people are in the team.

Mind you Sadiq also hails from the north so by me clamouring for his inclusion shows clearly I have no problem with players from anywhere in Nigeria as long as they are selected on MERIT!!!!.

The fact that this oppression is seen In every aspect of this god forsaking country. Even the one thing that brings us joy Football is selfish and disconcerting. Now if anything is appalling it should be that @Dr Tee

      • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

When injured and clubless Keshi and Oliha were both taken to 1994 AFCON… it wasnt injustice. When the likes of Jayjay and Kanu where allowed to captain the national team till when their legs couldnt carry them anymore and they called it quits…. it wasnt injustice. When Yobo was taken to the WC just to earn his 100caps……it wasnt injustice. When Mikel was allowed to return to the national team and retake his armband and retire when he felt like…..it wasnt injustice, but Captain Musa’s continued call up when he’s still fit and playing is injustice…..LMAO. I am sure if Akmed Musa werent a northerner his continued presence in the SE wouldnt have been an act of injustice.

He even had to lie that Sadiq was dropped because of Musa just to stir a storm of sensationalism in a tea cup…LMAO

Tribal bigot on the loose….LMAOoooo..!!! Pls whomever has his leash should kindly help us make proper use of it

        • Now your Comparing Jay Jay and Kanu to Musa.. Like I said @Dr Drey I don’t have your time. You have proved you are a teenager and makes your judgement about a player on summarised highlight reels because, no Nigerian or Super Eagles supporter who lived through the career’s of Jay Jay and Kanu will EVER mention Ahmed Musa’s name in the same sentence with those two Legends, even if say dem no get sense.

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

No….we can’t mention Musa in the same vein with Kanu and Jayjay.

Of course Musa didn’t earn 96 (and potentially 100) caps as a SE player. He didn’t win the AFCON and never participated in the World Cup. He didn’t score a single goal in both the AFCON and the World Cup, never captained the SE and never won anything in his career for bothe club and country. That’s why only a fool will not refer to him as a legend….LMAO

Plus remind us again…who is the Nigerian all-time top scorer in the biggest stage of football….the world cup..?!
Pls remind us again after Segun Odegbami who is the all-time record scoring and assists giving winger for the SE…?!
Pls remind us again if Kanu or Okocha scored as many goals and assists as Musa in the SE.

I’m sorry but you are so foolish that even foolishness is ashamed to be associated with you…..LMAOooo.

Pls carry eraser and go clean all of Musa’s records from the record books bcos he is a northerner and hence must not be called a legend…..LMAOooo.

There’s nothing that blocks a man’s thinking faculty better than hatred and bigotry.

          • @Dr Drey When Okocha and Kanu played Nigeria was the most feared team in Africa in fact ranked N0. 5 in the world at some point. when all these legends you are using as scape goats for Musa’s Case now wore the SE shirt Ghana, Cameroon feared us even Brazil and Germany raised eybrows to us. Okoch went to Wembely in 1994 to play England and the english fans where asking him for his autograph. No team.. My friend Let me tell you No Nigerian will talk like this about Okocha.. No way.. You are a bastARD ALWAYS KNEW IT NOW YOU CONFIRMED IT.

Now lets look at Musa’s days in SE as a comparison: full of mediocre performances barring some flash in the pan performances i.e. Argentina in 2014 and Iceland in 2018 World cups). Musa’s Time in our football coincides with a period when we couldn’t even make Afcon back to back and when Nigeria was no longer seen as a footballing giant in Africa.

This is not even possible when Okocha is in the team.. Ockocha who took it upon himself to drag us back in the 2000 AFCON Final When Okocha and Kanu played do you know Brainiac that it was hard to see Nigeria drop below top 12 in the world ????? go do your research Asshole…

Flash in the pan easy naim Musa flash am 4 SOLID times….? LMAOOoo…..You are the fool who needs to do a research and tell us which flash in the pan players had 4 world cup goals. DR. Drey, God almighty we bless you and be with you for always standing for justice in your own ways..

I love you and i am always ready to learn from personalities like you. Thank you sir.

God bless you too my brother, God bless Nigerians and God bless Africa in general.

      • @uwunze how do you define merit. So a player whose presence keeps the team together off the pitch is not there on merit? Don’t you know that a lot of factors make a team perform well on the pitch. The captain is still fit. He is even playing for Kano pillars. The coach needs him around. The players want him around. Can’t you see how ekong always respectfully hand over arms band to him? You did not see that? You want to disrupt the chemistry if the team. Are you the coach? Are you an insider? Common musa is there on merit. A player who has made the oyibo born players feel at home in the eagles will always be needed around. Nigerians with their way of thinking sha

I wish to differ with those who are “bad-mouthing” Musa and urge them to press their feet on the brake pedal. Musa’s record in the WC has not been surpassed by any SE player. He may have passed the peak of his career, but he has loads of experience and is playing a leadership role in the SE. Moreover, he is a detribalized fellow whose philanthropic contributions cut across the whole of Nigeria.

We take too many things for granted in Naija. only a few years ago, some neophyte coach abandoned the SE midstream, fleeing to Europe. The current coach has been owed months of salary but he still goes about his job quietly. The SE players used to act like a bunch of cats chasing after rats in a single room. You know what I mean–each man after his own interest. Now, there is no more rancour in the team. I may not know the full story, but I believe both Musa and Oga Rohr are working together, counselling the boys, providing the necessary guidance.

Let’s give him a break. He knows that a good name is better than money, and will step down at the appropriate time.

…a bunch of cats …(so sorry, did the correction but it didn’t register)

    • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Is it mere coincidence we have the most peaceful era in the SE under Ahmed Musa’s regime as Captain…? Pls Which Coach wouldnt want to have within reach a captain who has control over his players and always ensures there’s peace in the camp and the boys are always ready to play even if their bonusses haven’t been paid for 2 years…? Imagine these boys werent paid since 2019 AFCON group stages and they still topped their group with games to spare and we never heard pim from anybody. If it were to be the days of some other captains they will be the ones handpicking matches to play, leading boycotts and missing their way to eagles camp in London…LMAO.

Dr. Drey, this is the first time i am writing directly to you. Since i have been privileged to join this forum i always find joy reading your write-ups. They are always joyous to my longing heart. Well articulated, researched and the sagacity with which you dish them out is highly unparalleled on this platform. You have really earned your doctorate degree with great aplomb and dexterity. Non on this platform comes close to your in-depth analysis. You are always a joy to me reading from your write-ups and i am so confident in your chosen profession you are not one to be relegated but to be highly reckoned with.

However, i feel your constant battery of co- forumites when not on the same page with your submission is a thing of worry. We can see things differently, yet we mean well to achieve the same purpose, seeing that our darling Country, with respect to sporting issues, excel on all sides. Sometimes, you may be wrong while others are right and vice-versa. This should not, in anyway give room for character assassination by any of us. I graduated from a school with the mantra, “probitas doctrina”, which implies worthy in learning and character.

Dr. Drey, most times we all personally feel we are correct in our own respective submission but when we take others view to be a jaundiced submission and call them untold names it takes away the beauty of our ingenuity. We disagree to agree as people use to say. Let us not attack people’s personality when they are not in conformity to our perspectives. We are all keen fanatics and would sacrifice our individual egos to see that our darling teams succeed at the top-most level.

God bless us all on this forum…

Thank you very much @Olupotan for you admonition. You are highly regarded. My brother, words can draw kola out of a man’s pockets, words too can also draw a catapult. A handshake that reaches the elbow has become a wrestling bout. I have absolutely no issues with anyone who choses to disagree with me, no no no…I dont….on the contrary, I’ve at several times had several clean discussions with people on this forum, but will have issues with those ones who cannot control their desperation and chose to play dirty simply because the feel threatened and defeated. If you disagree with me…table your own side or angle of the narrative, with logic, verifiable facts and evidence. If you cant, go back and live to fight another day…simple.
I’ve said it times without number……anyone who wants to accuse me should pls go and review the timelines of the thread and point out who threw the first shade. Anyone who thinks he has the monopoly of stubbornness is mistaken. The chicken never starved before corn ever came to being. Anyone who thinks he has the rights to insult me or anybody else shouldnt feel offended when served with a pill of their own medicine. Anybody who wishes to stretch his handshake up to my elbows is free to do so, but they should also take note of the fact their elbows too are now close to within my own grasp.
Once again thanks for your admonition. I can assure you it is well taken.

      • God bless @Dr.Drey, this forum is a place of learning and its unfair that some folks will turn it to a place of rancor! We can agree, disagree and do as we like, all within reasonable sense, but we must be guided by the ethics of logic… Disruptive personalities always seek division and confusion, many forumites chase dark agendas! Rohr has really spoilt market for most marketers, because he bases his selections on merit and merit again… Lolz

    • God bless you my brother

The selection process is not entirely bad considering club engagements and injury concerns of most of our choice players anyway.
Seriously,l am more concerned abt Rohrs continues neglect or lackadaisical approach (beg ur pardon) on some of d few departments of d team we are lacking qualities like our midfield(defensive nd offensive) and defence.
In d midfield, our coach must try to fish out one or two good players for d DM even if he has to pick from our local league. Again, Ejaria nd Lookman’s impending switch wld be a very good one. I once heard abt Jordan Torunarigha of Hertha Berlin’s application to switch to play for 9ja (though in d defence) which is also very very good bcos he is so strong bt,l must advice Rohr of d need to try a player like Chiderah Ejuke who is a bundle of skills, speedy, dynamic with special techniques to play in different positions,i.e offensive midfiel nd see how good he can be in a view of finding a lasting solution to problems in our midfield which seriously lacks creativity and movements. Abeg, we seem to have too many physical players in d midfield nowadays nd nothing seems to be changing at all. Imagine Iwobi, Ejaria, Chiderah Ejuke and Marcus Abraham in one department competing against each other.Y must we be crying everyday concerning d lack of creativity in our midfield wen we can easily use the above players well. Yeah, Ejike shld not be ignored again in this team bcos we seem not to know how best to use him thinking dat he can only play as a winger where we have too many opions dat are not even better than him.
It is also safe to use Awaziem who for me,is d only genuine utility player in d team as a backup for Ndidi in our DM.
Also, we must not forget Sabastine Osigwe of Lugano FC if we are serious abt bringing d much needed stiff competition in every department of our team. It may take too long to have these crop of players as we have today if we don’t make d proper use of them.
Finally,l hope we Nigerians ndd especially our coaches and technical heads are beginning to notice d talent in in Nigeria eligible Aston villa newbie, Chukwuemeka whom as l am seeing him is better than d much talked about Eberechi Eze who is still toying with d chance of playing for us. This time,we must try to handle Chukwuemeka’s case very carefully not to loose him like swems presently with Eze.
Kudos to our dear coach, Rohr nd his crew. Long live Nigeria!

  • Musa is not doing the team any special favour by being called up. His presence in camp will never be missed if he were not invited. There is nothing like ‘Musa brings the team together’ or ‘Musa keeps team together’. Nothing like that, at all. Definitely, SE can do without Musa.

Ordinarily, Musa should not have been invited because he just resumed playing club football not quite long ago and therefore not at his best yet. But he has been invited. Not because he has this huge presence and influence on players or that he is an oracle must be invited to camp before we can be sure of winning our matches. Also, Musa is not there because of quota or federal character system. He is there because Rohr has a soft spot for him and wants to assist him get a better club

Football is beyond playing on the pitch.

Hmmm. What is in Football is more than Football itself.

What are we talking about here kę.

We are still needed Musa in that team.

    Am I communicating ba?

Yes we are kę. Did we remember against South or so when the ship was down and Musa was the only Player that instructing the young team.

Chai, I busy, I should have explain more better than this but half is better than nothing. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

Please, why are Oluwasemilogo Ajayi – quite easily Nigeria’s very best defender currently and Lookman not in the team? Has Oga Rohr even ever called these guys up?
What about Babafemi? That striker at Southampton? These are the kind of people we need in Super Eagles, not all these Iwobi and Iheanacho who is extremely underwhelming and disappointing mostly, and then every now and again he puts in some effort back at Leicester, please why now? somebody tell chief Rohr that this is not “Super Chickens” era o, let him shine hes eyes!
