However, Hull City held on to secure the three points at St. Mary’s stadium.

Despite the defeat, Southampton are in fourth place (promotion playoff place) on 67 points in the league table.

The Saints will hope to bounce back from the defeat when they host Millwall on Saturday.

Aribo was part of the Super Eagles team that finished second at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

It was Aribo’s second AFCON after making his debut at the 2021 tournament in Cameroon.
