The former Monaco gaffer final years at the club were marred by protests and hostility from supporters.
The Daily Mail reports that Venkatesham spoke with Wenger about a possible return to North London as Arsenal plan to reveal a special tribute to the former Gunners leader.

Wenger led Arsenal to three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups during his illustrious reign, but the Gunners went trophyless and finished sixth in the top flight in his final season.

Under current manager Mikel Arteta, the Gunners lie 15th in the Premier League table, although the Spaniard did lead Arsenal to FA Cup success in the summer – the first trophy that the North London outfit had won since Wenger’s departure.

This is truly unbelievable….. Arteta is not doing very well sha. But at 71 years old, is he not too old.

This is the same way they’d pay a visit of begging to rohr when the time of reckoning comes. Dem go go with cow and goat to beg him to come back so that we can be qualifying for world cup and afcon with games to spare.

I am laughing hard at this. Wenger ke? How desperate! Although a look at their position in the league table explains the desperation 🙂 🙂
Is Baba Ijebu coming back? Possible, but highly unlikely.

The name Venkatesham sounds Indian. Perhaps he is the son of Indian immigrants? Anyway, Indians are world recognized for their knowledge and ability in sports like cricket, badminton and chess. Soccer, not so much.
Venkatesham is obviously shooting from the hip. Arteta won the FA cup, has brought in a bunch of young, exciting players, and has done quite well, until recently. His recent results have been really poor, but that could happen to anyone. Lampard that is currently riding high with Chelsea was also struggling not too long ago. A savvy football executive would know how to better handle this situation.
Arsenal even considering bringing Wenger back at this point is a scary pointer to the incompetence that currently resides in the Arsenal boardroom.
This is what you get when you put half baked people in positions of authority.

  • @Abo, lol. Everyone is always old for you. Bonfere Jo is the man to lead us to the Promised Land. Rohr would always qualify Nigeria but can’t win trophies for us.
