Arsenal had to wade off a late surge from Wolverhampton Wanderers to record a 2-1 win at the Emirates in Saturday’s Premier League fixture.
The win took Arsenal four points clear of Manchester City at the top, who will host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The Gunners started like a house on fire and deservedly took the lead on six minutes through Bukayo Saka who beat his marker before volleying with his right foot into the back of the net.
In the 13th minute Arsenal doubled their lead thanks to captain Martin Odegaard, who slotted home Oleksandr Zinchenko’s cutback.

Leandro Trossard was played through on goal but saw his effort come off the keeper.
Wolves made the game a nervy finish for the Gunners as they pulled a goal back on 86 minutes through Matheus Cunho following a sloppy play by Zinchenko.
Substitute Eddie Nketiah went close to restoring Arsenal’s two-goal lead but saw his strike hit the post.
Other Premier League results saw Frank Onyeka feature as Brentford beat Luton 3-1 and Burnley thrash 10-man Sheffield United 5-0.
